Thank you for addressing the concerns about the magnetic materials. I appreciate explanation, coming from a geologist 🙂 I have been using this for the past few months and have had positive results and crystal clear water and will continue using it.

I hope we did the science justice not being geologists, Peter. Glad you’ve got such good results.

Do you recommend leaving filter roller on after adding life source to tank?

Missed you guys live, but watched the restream. Appreciate you addressing this situation. Been using LifeSource for over 4 years. Have only experienced good results with this product. No equipment issues. I understand it's a product directly from the waters in Fiji which is one of the reasons I use it. My main reason for using this product is to add some biodiversity we cannot get with dry rock. Without fiji live rock being available anymore, this is the next best thing in my opinion. Only thing I would like to see is more product being imported into the USA. It's almost always out of stock and I'm completely out Again. 👍

Thanks, Philip. Appreciate your support. Product availability is key and I hope something CV sees and can help ensure you (and others) can get it when you need it. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

What is the best way to use it? Dose it? Sump it? Put in a tray in the DT behind the rocks? 🤔 I got a lot of silt (expected) but that will get old every week. 😟

Appreciate the live stream. I was very skeptical of the product until I heard it was sifted through a sieve (this explains the smooth consistency and color), and also collected in deeper water. This is true beneficial mud and I’m sold. Thank you for bringing a quality product straight out of Fiji. I had major doubts it was actually from Fiji, but I don’t anymore. 😉

I am setting up my sump to have a filter roller first following the refugium, following skimmer and reactor! My question is! Can I use the life source under the OutSanding Selections Refugite from two little fishies? Cheers

don't put it in, you will regret it.

Hi team, I’m considering using this product for a new reef system that will use sterile (man made) dry rock. Are there any plans to use biome testing (e.g. AquaBiomics service) to have quality control and visibility over the beneficial bacteria that is in the mud? This could also weed out possible pathogens or parasites before releasing batches. Thanks in advance!

It’s a great product for sure. I saw great results after using it with my coral and making the tank very clear after it settles down. My only issue was recently I had a lot of metals and mud “caked” on the inside of my Nero 5 wavemakers. I also was seeing signs of wear and rubbing from it. It was both soft and coarse materials. Maybe it was just my batch specifically but it was quite alarming. This is me just sharing my experiences. It is a nice product for biodiversity, so I think it may be more beneficial in an open container in a sump where water will pass over it and pick up the minerals along the way. I just don’t think I’ll ever broadcast it again.

My container was wet with lot of water inside and also i see lot of rust kind color at the bottom of the packet inside the container. Is it normal?

There is no need to turn skimmer off.

Yes but in the sea this particles may not be harmfully but in our small close system if they accumulate with time?

They test the batches using ICP
@tomg54052 жыл бұрын
@@insanity4224 icp not test all and that is not enough garanty for me
@insanity42242 жыл бұрын
@@tomg5405 no ICP is not perfect by any means. But if your standard is higher than ICP than what do you put in your tank?? Salt, supplements and literally everything we put in our tanks has the potential for impurities and most of these don’t even get tested.

Hi.. I was wondering if I can use Life source along with Pro Bio S.. or can Life source help me lower the nitrates in general ??
@AquaforestEuAF2 жыл бұрын
Life Source is perfect as a buffer to enhance microbiology in aquariums. You can use Life Source along with Pro Bio S but they works different.
@EIY_Kumar2 жыл бұрын
@@AquaforestEuAF okay.. Thank you

What benifits are there when using it
@PeterDinh852 жыл бұрын
AF Life Source provides micro biodiversity to the tank, since our tanks are nowadays started with dry rock and bottled bacteria, this provides the natural bacteria and minerals from the ocean. When I use this my corals are extra puffy the next day and it makes the water very clear the next day.
@johnclark23852 жыл бұрын
You are talking too long on the possible negatives can you please discuss the positives

I hope Peter’s explanation helped. Let’s us know if you have any more questions. There’s also a whole video on it on the AF YT page ;)

Found Life Source to add tones of sulphur and leaves garbage on everything with no benefit along with a bunch of waste. Pumps also accumulate it on the magnets and wears them out early, when it is "making the grains smaller" it is tearing up the pumps up. Terrible product all round.
