You know, not every day is sunny and warm. So I enjoy seeing an occasional tour in rainy weather. Coming in from the weather to the protected cockpit and interior, it's so easy to imagine sitting with a warm cup of tea watching the rain or reading a book. The interiors look so much more inviting when it's foul weather outside. I'm sure you're not a fan of walking around the deck in bad weather, but we appreciate your efforts!

What a lovely, inviting boat, I really loved it. I'm sure a lot of other people will too... and it's a lot of boat (and specs) for the money. Really come to love the Riviera boats. I really like theway theydo the stern on these, recognizing many of us would be fishing. Helm seems a bit far back, allows good communications to those fishing, but seems like fairly poor visibility of the front of the boat. Maybe just the way it looked on camera. Really nice, comfortable, boat. Thanks for braving the elements and getting us a look.

I don’t know how visibility is at the helm being set so far back, everything seems well planned so a sea trial would be interesting. I wonder if you could occasionally add a sea trial to the channel, I know they are extra work but as the occasional bonus it would be interesting. Hello Nick. Thanks for braving the rain again to bring us another great boat. Very impressed how much they fit into a 46 without making it crammed in there. I also noticed lighting is very good. We are seeing the enclosed fly as the main and only helm lately leaving the rest of the boat for living space. I love the concept but wonder how a bridge like that works for a long passage. Hope the weather improves.

I'm honestly pretty blown away at how comfortable cabins 2 and 3 look, given the size of the boat. Riviera always seems to know how to maximize accommodation, irrespective of size. And having the helm purely on the fly-bridge makes so much sense and really opens up the living space, though I am really curious how good (or bad) the visibility is for piloting, given that is located so far aft. I'm sure navigation screens make that practically irrelevant anyway, but it's something I'd certainly want to test for myself before buying (if I had the money, of course!). Regardless, Riviera always impresses, and while they are pretty pricey, it's also evident why that is, and I still think you get a lot of boat for the money, even in a sub-50 footer, if you can believe it! Fantastic walk-through, as always. Still the best KZbin channel to drink a cup of coffee (or tea) to. Cheers!

That is a really nice boat, I like how they have three different areas as you go into the interior, nice layout below as well. I was surprised that the helm is at the back of the flybridge as the visibility looked poor, from the angle we saw it looked like you could not even see the front of the boat. The thing I love most about Riviera yachts is their useable nature. They are good looking but not built just to look good like some of the Italian yachts, they are ocean ready but not built just for practicality like some of the Scandinavian boats and they are set up for epic fishing adventures but don't lack for space and comfort like many smaller American and Australian built fishing yachts/boats. With this layout you would only need to make a few minor changes to turn it into a pretty comfy liveaboard for a couple too while maintaining all the useability.

It's no Gulf Craft Majesty 175 but Mr Burnham sir Sport Motor Yachts are my least favourite style of motor yachts available out there but if I was to go for one it would have to be a Riviera, I really appreciate their build quality and style, besides the Riviera illuminated badges on the sides are so cool. Made superbly, tough and capable, and comfortable , quite a combination, all the Rivieras turn heads even though they are plentiful here in Australia. With the inside stairs it’s a great improvement from the ladder that riviera traditionally used on the smaller fly bridges but you would need a remote docking station if you wanted to moor to a jetty when solo as getting down those internal steps then running to the stern in a blow would be a challenge

Love Riviera. One of my all time favorite small boat production yacht builders. Galeon, Absolute and Marex also being in there. Riviera just doe so much intelligent layout. The huge platform off the back though is a no-no for sport fishing. It gets in the way, makes you lose fish, and they create issues trying to back down on a fish. I thinkmthere is another one where the tender can be stored on the foredeck. That's where I woukd want it.

Great review of a fairly simple 45ft boat, owner operator at its best. As a slightly mature gentleman in his 80th year I'm quite amazed at how efficient you are at multitasking., climbing down steep ladders while holding a go-pro and still talking. Me? If I was going to be critical, I would suggest the helm position doesn’t have a close view going ahead……… also, I would fear a total mist out in our cooler climes in bad weather, with no alternative helm to retreat to……. I quite like this one because you know you’re in a boat and not a marina gin palace. Like the different zone with different exposure to the elements. Whether I like it enough to post 1.75 mil is another question. The high gloss wood wouldn’t be my particular choice but the Americans like it in this type of boat. What would put meet off though is the helm position, not that it’s on the fly bridge which is quite appealing especially in the normal Florida climate but the fact that it is set so far back that visibility is all but nil. Needs to be up against the front screen. Also don’t know why their wouldn’t be a seating area on the bow because it’s not like their needs to be clear vision from the saloon.

Don't usually like US styled boats, but this is actually a nice one! The only thing is, that helm looks very far back! How do you see the bow? Also, wouldn't fancy doing a night time passage up in that raised helm, even with the covers, it feels a bit too open!

So you're at sea, you've deployed the plastic screens around the helm because it's raining, you haven't got windscreen wipers & additionally the wind is distorting your view because the screens aren't taught. I think there'd be a queue for that grab-rail, lol.

I’d have the fly bridge helm at the front. Seems way to far back. Even when stood at the controls the view is still limited when navigating harbour and mooring. Seen sport fishing boats with similar but on smaller fly bridges that still offer a better view. Saying that, if I was given one of these, I wouldn’t complain. Would you? Otherwise, nice boat.
