I just wanna say the fact that you predicted this Jody and it came true once again is freaky my nigga...like scary freaky bro. You said wait for the movie after JL (A snyder-tainted product) and that you believed it would deliver and reflect the new era of dc films along with wonder woman as the new tones the DCFU wants to set. You're 4-0 wit these DC predictions. 1 (even though you werent on youtube when you first saw/reacted to the trailer) you said Man of Steel didn't feel like it was a Superman film when you watched the trailers and something wasnt right with the tone. 2) When you reacted to BvS trailers with Jay, you said something about BvS didn't feel right when you watched the trailer, in particular, Superman and the fact that he was acting gloomy and depressing, so you held your reservations and said you weren't gonna put all your trust in the movie off rip. 3) As we all know, you said Wonder Woman would pick up the slack of the DCEU, carry it on its back, bring the universe its first unanimous hit, and spark a culture change. 4) And Newly, you predicted that Aquaman would reflect the change Wonder Woman sparked as it would be the first product of the new DC era post-WW and be a successful and good film, bringing DC its 2nd hit. All 4 predictions came true. You wit the feds bro?

Ocean Master is the best in this movie, comic book accurate to the fullest, megalomaniac, commanding, manipulative, and charismatic. You can see the fire in his eyes, that's a great villain right there. DC need actors who are villains who can stand their own against the heroes. Black Manta was underwhelming, he needs to redeem himself on the sequel, he needs to kill Thomas Curry and Aquababy like how he savagely annihilated The Others(Aquaman's former team on New 52). People need to read Geoff Johns run on Aquaman, it's a masterpiece, his 2nd best work on New 52(Green Lantern being 1st).

Regarding, certain Atlanteans being able to breathe, Vulko mentioned that only "high-born" Atlanteans/Xebeleans can breathe air as well as water. Regular Atlanteans can only breathe under water. That's why Murk stopped after his suit was broken, it was either breathe in toilet water and try to capture them another day or die trying to catch Mera. If you pay attention to that climactic 1v1 between Arthur & Orm, it was only the Atlantean/Xebelean royals that were breathing in air. The Fisherman princess was in the water. And the Sahara desert scene? The landing didn't bother me because high-born Atlanteans are stronger, more durable than the average Atlantean. But how Mera dealt with the heat? Beats me. I could be Batman and hypothesize that highly evolved Atlanteans can retain and circulate water in their respiratory systems when exposed to certain environments for certain periods of time, but that wouldn't change the fact that it wasn't explained in the movie. Maybe the sequel will help solve the unanswered questions such as what really happened before, during, and after the "Great Fall" of Atlantis? Why did Atlan truly go into exile? How can Mera and Vulko water-shift? How did Black Manta and his pops get involved with Orm? Maybe with the annoying Dr. Shin being thrown in, he could be used to help hypothesize/analyze the mystery behind Atlantean physiology and provide more insight into how the "high-born"/"regular" Atlantean concept works. His questions could be OUR questions about Atlanteans. With the help of Manta, he could get his hands on the body of a dead Atlantean and dissect it a little bit. And if they go into how Mera and Vulko can water-shift, I hope they introduce the Silent School (Atlantean magic guild) and use that school to introduce Garth, the OG Aqualad in future films. To me, this movie is the first in a long time that really gives me that classic feel. I think kids who saw this in their childhoods will grow up to look back on it as the reasons they love comic books, heroes, or comic book movies in their adolescence and adulthoods. I really think this brings back the magic of heroic romanticism. Good work James Wan.

Aquaman and his super-strong skeletal structure and musculature which should be at least three times as dense and strong as human tissues, should make him relatively immune to crushing weapons like clubs or blunt force weapons. He probably isn't complete bullet-proof, but would likely survive even a large firearm at close range.

King Atlan most likely made the hologram recording in the forge room after it was made. It's like a prophecy. I doubt he made that after the explosion incident. And with Aquaman getting the trident earned their respect, not because he's just holding a trident. It's because of the way he had to get it. They know that only the true king could hold it. Orm couldnt wield it. That monster wouldve destroyed him, or Atlan wouldnt have let go of the trident. Atlanteans know the legend ALSO, after the machine blew up, and Atlantis sank, it took a hell of a long time for them to rebuild. He left when Atlantis was in ruins. How would he know they were ok?

The opening submarine sequence... I thought the smaller pirate ship was Atlantis tech... and the father and Manta were working for Orm. Meaning they didn't just show up out of nowhere to give him tech to make his suit. He was already employed by them. So that Atlanteans were not connected to the human tech attacking them. I mean they are pirates, human pirates... perfect assets for King Orm to use to start a war. I agree Manta had no business putting in work on Aquaman.

Aquaman is way better than I expected. I thought most of the actors were great, with the script lacking more than anything else. As for Black Manta, they set that up for a stand alone film. The back story on his grandfather will be central. I have never been a fan of either Jason Momoa or Nicole Kidman... but this movie, I thought they played their roles perfectly. Nothing but respect for this movie for everyone involved. I have not been more surprised by a film in several years.

Loved Aquaman. What a fun/entertaining film. BTW, no way did Gal Gadot & Chris Pine have more chemistry than Christopher Reeves and Margot Kidder. When Steve "died", there was nowhere near the grief, pain and sense of loss that Superman displayed when he found Lois' dead body. That scene was powerful because of the chemistry they had on screen. Margot Kidder is the best on screen Lois we ever had, regardless of her physical appearance. It's not even close.

What's funny to me is when MCU fanboys that say Black Panther is the most overrated MCU movie ever but when you mention Aquaman all of a sudden they hype up Black panther and give BP it's credit just to down play Aquaman......just finally seen Aquaman and I give it a B- great action, visuals and world building. Story was what I expected, villains(Black Manta and Orm) weren't Impacting enough. Dialog was ok but not great, overall If you enjoyed anything from Phase one of marvel then Aquaman is a must see. PS Favorite characters of mine just Aquaman and Nereus. Mera was meh, Atlanta was ok when ever she was on camera, Vulko should've been replaced with Mera throughout the film for the adventure, and Black manta was wasted. 8.5/10

Just came back from seeing Aquaman and that shit was lit Jason Momoa did his thing and I enjoyed every scene he had with Orm, Mera and Vulko. Black Manta was alright to me the film still would've been good without him but whatever. This film was Epic I look forward to what the DCFU has next.
