“Aquaman” Star Jason Momoa Wrote A 50-Page Treatment For “Lost Kingdom”

My brother in law grew up with him in des Moines and said he was picked on back in the day, "the old school way with big bullies throwing him in trash cans and none of us could help cause we were all so little...HE DIDN'T LOOK LIKE THAT!" 😂. Fun note, he lived down the street from Brandon routh...the superman in the boring early 2000s superman movie and I met him with my brother in law and they exchanged stories and talked about Jason early in his career at free comic book day in omaha and I found out my friend wasn't a liar lmao 😂.

I'm not Polynesian but i grew up in Hawaii. Going to the beach almost everry weekend, seeing the little animals in the ocean, but most importantly, school taught us about Polynesian culture and how the ecosystem of the island and ocean works. It's hard not to love the ocean, it's hard to not want to become a marine biologist. As kids, instead of stories about moose and bears, we get stories about turtles and dolphins. We also see the aftermath of human caused ecological disaster everyday in the form of the mongoose infestation. Every single tree has a metal ring to peotect birds from them, the metal ring is a daily reminder of why we need to take better care of the environment, or the whole world will be screwed like the extinct birds that were wiped out because of us.

I had a phase when I wanted to be a marine biologist, but it was mostly because sea otters are so cute and I was a kid. I also always wanted to act (which is pretty much a way for adults to get away with pretend playing in order to tell people stories). But throughout my life, since I could read, I’ve known I would be a writer, and now I’m working on a Science Fiction novel. Dune has been one source of inspiration for my story and in general. I don’t usually watch the interview segments, unless it’s someone of specific interest, and while I respect him as an actor and think he seems like a cool guy, the only reason I watched this was on a gut whim, if you know what I mean. And now the train of thought it sent me down has resulted in both a personal realization (I won’t explain because this comment is long enough as is) and a great idea for the book. The point is: always listen to your intuition!
