Classic Jazz fusion from a truly unique time in History. Awesome ensemble of musicians. I actually met Mark Soskin doing a street gig on Broadway and 38 street. He was surprised that I knew who he was. I guess it pays off to read all the credits on those recordings. LOL!That was truly a long time ago. 1984 perhaps. Damn I'm old.

Yes the album is from the late 70's but I met Mark Soskin in 1984 many years after this recording.

Doesn't sound ANYTHING like Steppenwolf's version!! ... >GRIN< Great stuff. Can't really add too much to what's already been posted by others. "Ensemble" and "greater than the sum of pretty much sum of its parts", um, summed it up (heh) well. The communication is right there, such as Cobham picking up on where Soskin was taking it at 2:30
