I.Love.BOTANICALS! That was such a great selection of varying textures for your tank! I'm crushing hard on the lotus pods at the moment, but I love ALL botanicals! I view them as natural vitamins, and sometimes medicines, to provide your aquarium inhabitants with! They also provide great hiding areas for the littlest ones, such as shrimp or crocodile toothpick fish. I do agree with researching how much of each to add to your tank, as too much tannins can be harmful to some species. Thank you so much for sharing your fantastic little box of happy with us! Much love!

The shot at the end reminds me of the scented potpourri bags my mom used to buy to make the house smell nice. I don't know if it's considered a botanical, probably not, but I use boiled (and thoroughly rinsed) cinammon sticks in my shrimp tank. It's a good surface area for biofilm to grow on and both snails and shrimp love them. Cinammon flavored biofilm...yum

I absolutely love the botanicals!! They add so much texture and beauty into a natural scape!! I really love the lotus pods....how cool are they in a shrimp tank? Recently Alex from @The Secret History Living in your Aquarium had discussed jackfruit and cinnamon leaves used in our aquariums! This was an absolute amazing box of botanicals!! I really like the shrimp churros as well!! Super cool stuff Joanna!! Thank you for sharing with us!! I hope you're having a very blessed day my friend! 🙏🌿🐟🌿🦐🌿💚

I had no idea all those botanicals were aquarium safe except for almond leaves and the cones. I just noticed I have some of the ones you mentioned in a coastal style bowl on my table. (Some have blue dye on them and I wouldn't add to a tank) Shrimp churros - so cute! What fun things to scape with!

Great vid .I have almond leaves but don’t use them because I don’t really need to lower ph . But I hear they have beneficial medicinal property ? . After watching this vid I’m just wondering if I should add one to my mountain minnow tank 🤔 I am worried it might alter the current water set up fluctuating the current status quo . Hey Joanna put fish can drive in the you tube search . It’s so funny shows you a fish actually driving it’s been on the news over hear in the uk . The fish uses sensors in the tank to drive around it’s bizarre but funny Esp when you see the fish driving up the road 🤣👍

I love the look of those sea grape leaves. You should put two of each one of those botanicals in a test tank with little tags and a date and see how long they last before they deteriorate. Indian almond leaf falls apart really quick, but other leaves will last a long time like papaya I believe last for months. It would be interesting to see how long each of these lasts; Usually the tannin release will be inverse to the speed that it breaks down

Funny the names they make up for these things they sell. They change them so you can’t find the real name of them and look them up for yourself. Because they’re afraid you’ll find it somewhere else. So they have that lil confidence in themselves and what they are selling. Smh.
