My male Dalmatian molly was looking sick today and looking like it was going to pass out by morning and some of the other fish also were looking a little unwell so since my tank is 2by 1by 1 feet I used 15x5 gm of Himalayan pink salt and dissolved it in water and poured into entire tank. Fish tank has become little hazy but all the fish have become very active including the male Dalmatian molly who was looking dead. His tail fin had lost lot of colours and deformed a little. But even he is active now within a minute. Is this a good sign? After how many days should I change the water and how much percent? Pls reply.

The reason I did not answer is you had already added medicines even without understanding the issue, this is caused mainly due to Nitrate or ammonia poisoning, Rock salt, water changes and good bacteria in the tank would have helped, by adding Epsom salt the problem would have escalated, so I cannot help in this situation, Get good filteration, filter media and bacteria, and do regular water changes, do not over feed, also feed a good quality food

Maine 2 fit me tank me 6 pair gold fish ki varieties rakhi hai, jisme fin rot disease ke sath couldy eyes ki problem abi 1-2 din se dikh rahi h.. filtration ke liye DIY canister filter ( sponge, active charcoal, ceramic ring aur biological balls) use kar rahe hain water cristal clear hai. I will say you are looking at this in a very narrow minded approach, Do you know every day more animals are being killed in the wild due to poaching, Indian fish are becoming extinct because of pollution in all the rivers, As long as the hobby is alive, these species will never die, and about the prison part, if you provide the animal a good natural environment, they will live happily
