I bought a 50lb bag of small white marble garden rocks from home depot for my aquarium. I washed rocks several times, but it's been 2 weeks now, and my water still looks very cloudy. Wondering if these rocks are unsafe to use.
@inventoryking4 жыл бұрын
They may not be.
@reverendfatheruncleruckus4 жыл бұрын
If it's real white marble it's mostly calcium carbonate. If it is what it actually was advertised as the cloudieness would be Ca ions and CO2 for the most part. Probably something best interpreted by the amount of calcium your specific aquatic ecosystem needs, which would be based on its flora and fauna.

Always been weary of using such large rocks in tanks.. Even real thick glass That's a fair amount of weight in 1 spot.. And more if built up I tend to use a lot of lava rock.. Serves 2 purposes

I used some slate / flagstone rock for my recent build.Laid it along the back wall for a cheap background. Not super heavy either. Came out pretty good. Only about 50 bucks and I had way more than I needed.
