I think that’s hilarious that locals don’t know you’re huge online. I have definitely seen that, as a newer local myself. I asked around and your store was highly recommended. I’m personally shocked at the lack of LFS in this area. Side note, as a skeptic, I at first rejected refs to your store because I thought you had such a huge media presence, that there was no way it was my kind of store. Totally was my kind of store and I am glad I was ‘forced’ in. Now I have finally accepted joining the online part too, since it is kinda awesome.

I left a comment on another video. I'll keep this shorter. I never received a notification, at least that I was. I caught the last few minutes of I believe this stream. I tried on my mobile as I figured I didn't have time to get to my desktop. I just so happened to check out a video today. When I saw I had been a member for 7 days. I cried. Enough said. You guys are such amazing people! You've given me way more than just the best fish knowledge on the web. I do have to say the fact I hear Cory's voice in my head when performing my aquarium maintenance, as much as my mom for everything. Else. Just the other day you saved me from a five minute freak out. Tank smelled so bad. And as I'm going through all my reasoning I heard you.... Let's just say over a weeks worth of shrimp pellets got caught on the glass lid that I was unaware was under my egg crate makeshift top.... Whoooo talk about stink!!!! Way worse than this comment does. Thanks appreciate you again.

Watching the replay... I feel proud now for having platy babies. We started our 39 gallon tank late last year. Purchased two female platys and one male in January and we have SO MANY babies now. We do have a heavily planted tank and we feed them adequately.

Any tips on keeping tank temps cool? I live in AZ, and cant really afford to keep my house cooler than 77. I got into shrimp last year and now have 5 caridina tanks Id like to keep until 74 degrees.

Try putting up thermometer down low in your house and see if it's cooler closer to the floor. I know some people with big fish rooms put the fish that can take a lower temperature on a lower rack

I used to put frozen water bottles and float them also a fan on the surface. My house used to get to 98 degrees and water got to 88 with constant attention it was around 76.

@@Mariatrieseverything awesome, i will give that a try! Ive heard the frozen water bottle trick, tried it in one tank and the shrimp started doing zoomies so i panicked and took it out. Maybe ill try a smaller size so its not a huge shock to them at first

The waterbottle idea is hard to keep consistent and attention heavy. Inconsistency is not good for shrimp, I suggest a fan on the surface of the tank for evaporative cooling or a bubbler/airstone

Ok I just turned this on DURING the livestream (for once! Yay!) I stream from my phone to my hearing aids. As Cory starts talking I realize one of my hearing aids is gone. I had to exit the livestream and spend 3 hours retracing my steps (including driving 80 miles again) trying to locate it. I couldn’t find it. ☹️☹️☹️ So now I need a new pair ($7k). The irony here is that Wet Spot has THREE of my faaaaavorite fish I stock, that I’ve been waiting a year for, and now I can’t get them because I have to budget for these hearing aids unexpectedly. Uff. Anyway, thanks Cory, I’m now watching the replay. Sorry I missed it live.

Good afternoon, hope all is well. I'm sorry to have to do this here (I'd rather send a private message) but I really don't know how to contact you and I just wanted to make sure someone involved with the business knows that there are at least 2 moderators on the CARE forum railroading new members (or at least just me, don't actually know if they've done this to anyone else) who aren't showing complete deference to them. The moderation is really out of hand. In my 2nd ever post (on my topic/thread) I said something that could have been taken as rude (but apparently wasn't) and the person I was addressing (a longtime forum member) actually apologized to me for how they responded and yet a moderator felt it was necessary to step in on their behalf and warn/threaten me (but not them). When I called that moderator out another, nicer, moderate started to try to mediate (although that first one doubled down and didn't apologize for needlessly side railing my thread) and then next thing you know a 3rd moderator steps in and shuts everything down..... I just wanted to share an experience and get feedback yet these moderators interjected for no good reason and ruined any chance of productive conversation and have penalized me even though the only thing I did wrong was *maybe* say something slightly rude and then call them out for unfairly going after the new person (probably because they thought it would be easy to do).
