I totally agree with Ozzy! Great, awesome, amazing video!!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!! This was my first canister filter so I was also going crazy during unboxing and set up! The instructions it came with are like a bad joke, about as useless as a screen door on a submarine! I had water spraying out everywhere when I tried to prime it the first time. The entire open and close value on top was a complete mystery to me when I set up out of the box! Talk about a mess! I finally got it running after a few choice words, a load of towels, and a mop but I was seriously dreading cleaning it in a month, until I found this video! So thank you sooooo much!!! My fish also thank you, my floor thanks you, and my blood pressure thanks you as well! :)))

This is a very useful video. This is my first canister and the instructions were very poor. I now know I need much more media for better filtration. Also as someone else said, I didn't know how to completely cut off water and made a big mess. Great job!

You have great videos, your explanations are very clear. Planning on running one of these on my 40 gallon turtle breeder. Do you think it's necessary for me to get one with four trays? I see a great deal for a three tray plus Uv, but there's also an okay deal on four trays, no Uv. I'd have it (three tray) holding Mechanical, Mechanical + bio then, Bio + Purigen. I've never owned a canister filter but I don''t want to miss a chance to.

you have a plastic holder inside the uvlight that you got to take ir off. In the video you got it attach to the uv light. That plastic will burn inside .

I wish I would have seen this before attempting it the first time... If you don't flip the switch on the valves... water everywhere. The company should have included specific information on disassembly in the instructions.

These are garbage. Their flow rate is way less than what they claim, especially if you are adding in lots of mechanical media. I'd rather go with the aquaclear 110 hang on back and put that foam to good use.
