The thing is that we did get huge boost to monster spawn rates, but it isn't like an actual glitched room, because both DoTs and HoTs are not sped up.

This is most likely a direct result of the recent glitched rooms debate. Yami no Ronin was too op in glitched rooms, so they nerfed yami, and people got mad. They pointed out that SSoT does the same thing but on a way higher scale and it cost ACs, so SSoT got a nerf as well, but because the topic of glitch rooms and farming rates showed up at the same time, the decision to lower respawn times was made. It’s honestly one of the best changes the game has ever made, however, botters will definitely abuse this considering that they no longer have the respawn timer circumvented by glitched rooms.

Here's my general overview of the update (because i don't have twitter so i don't know where to put this) TL:DR version: A good update, Long version: Respawn Time: This Update is one of the best update that ever comes to AQW, this is coming from an old player that use glitched room to farm revenant, this update will ensure people will have more motivation to farm, especially for the end game user, for example, farming LT in /fotia, using a Revenant, i could clear a room in less than 10 second, in a normal room, i will have to wait or change rooms, from my testing, in general, i could complete the quest 3 or maybe even 4 times in a minute but i could only complete it 1 or maybe 2 times in a normal room, this alone will show you how absurd revenant class is for end game user and why not glitching a room is stupid. Stability for farming: This is one of the most overlooked consequences of this update, before, what i meant by this is that for people who's farming in a glitched room before, good luck on accepting any of the dropped item, this is because there will be so much item on screen, accepting more than one at a time will make you dc-ed, now though, i could finally farm without fearing any dc-ed, for example, before this update, if i have 3 people in a shadow realm glitched, i would get dc-ed instanly because the rate of our clearance made the item overload. The general class nerf: While some class nerf i don't necessarily agree with (SSG being a melee now for example) i think that the next update needs to buff some tier 1 class, because it made me sad that some class are being forgotten in favour of newer class, class like DBSK,Troll spellsmith,Necromancer,Battlemage etc, these were some of the oldest class and some of my favorite before VHL and Revenant being the only class you need (you could even argue Revenant is the only class for every situation as it could kill boss,farm quickly,sustain, has high dps and top notch support)

AE nerfed rogue class just to make the upcoming great thief, the unique high dodge class at the game (nowadays we got yami bit you understood). They don't want to help new players at all, if they do, they should buff those type of classes. I don't think that DBSK is a useless class at all, just ask yourself what you've got: You can hit constantly 1k800 and you got a 5k nuke. You remeber DBSK as a really OP class when it released, OK, but i think the best way to "buff" it is cutting in a half its breakdown, just like Pyromancer class, that last one, in general, only works properly well when the rank 10 passive blows (actually a high haste passive). SSG has NEVER been an OP class, i don't even know why they nerfed it. Troll Spell really need a buff taking off the mana regen skill and putting another farm skill or a debuff lifesteal, just like we saw at the shiminuki's videos: the player crits a lot, there is no point at having it anymore.

@@tialexandria I never said that any of the class was OP or useless, i was saying that, for some end game user, a tier 1 class is basically useless to farm, i played AQW since 2014, back then, let me be frank here, Class wasn't useless, there are many class for people to choose from, a good for all situation class doesn't necessarily exist, here are some example: DBSK: good for sustainability and to farm a tanky enemy, decent soloer as well Troll spellsmith: For a simple one hit kill enemies, this class was decent at it Pyromancer: For a small into middle class boss (below 70K hp) Elemental Dracomancer: A good pvper Shaman/Evolved Shaman: Prob the best boss battle and farming (debatable tho) Arachnomancer: for Partying Necromancer: For the long solo fight Back in those days, even if i was an end game user, i actually have to change my class to fit the situation, nowadays though, i found it that class are being more and more forgotten, in favour of newer class like blood sorceress which can be farmed at basically level 1 I just want more variety for the mid to end game user you know? IF i could suggest a nerf to endgame class i would like if AQW nerf the following: Revenant: Nerf revenant support ability, seriously, i WANT to farm Rock crusher, but what's the point? Revenant support is basically on par VHL: Nerf the damage output by increasing the cooldown OR nerf it's sustainability . There prob a lot more, but the major one like Chronomancer"s class ability to farm got nerfed because glitched room got patched, IF AE decide to buff these mid to endgame class, i want the following DBSK: Rework the rank 10 passive into just increase overall damage, this passive is the reason why DBSK isn't used really used for boss anymore, why would you? A class like evolved shaman has higher DPS, not to mention, it stack indefinitely Troll Spellsmith: Rework the stupid health for mana skill, it's stupid, change it to a range class and increase sustainability

I'm overall happy that they made this change to the respond timers, though I'm a bit upset with some of the changes to SSG, mostly because it no longer has a ranged auto attack the 2 skill no longer applies 3 stacks or consuming shadows, and it seems it's survivability is now a lot worse. SSG one of my favorite classes.

Yea, Although am sad SSG damage got nerfed and melee target auto. I don't personally mind the survivability because it was a bug that the 80% damaged reduction didn't lower as your 2-3-4 skills got stronger. It was supposed to have two modes, Damage or Tank.

I think you should put Archpally around the upper tiers. It "sorta" arguably could be compared to VL level with just longer(not even that long tbh) cooldowns. If you put the two classes in a fair comparison regardless of the spawn tick rate (including mana and health) AP could end into a 50-50 scenario. It's kinda like comparing Ironman to Batman

A question about the spreadsheet: VHL has an SS tier in solo defense, while YnR has an S, but YnR can constantly be at 100% dodge, making him impossible to hit, whereas VHL can still die to some bosses (nulgath, hyperium turrets), so my question is: shouldn't YnR be an SS tier solo defense?

VHL has a passive that increases your endurance, gives yourself a HoT and it has a high damage reduction. YnR is a dodge class, that's a big difference. Most of the time you're not going to fight hard hitting bosses.(this is just my opinion)

I think the reason YnR is not SS tier in defense is probably because he can only be 100% dodge at higher levels, since people below a certain level can't reach 100% without potions, but I guess we'll never know 'cuz Shiminuki ignored me ;(

VHL is able to deal a good damage even using only the defensive abilities, YnR will eventually get hitted by something if you try to be more offensive and will not do as much damage, and VHL still has a higher dps overall

People that used AA or VL as their main farmer thought the classes are useless because the nerf lowered their dps to literally half of how strong it used to be. Even if its still a decent farmer, the significant difference in its dps hit hard to people who used those classes a lot. That's why many people are upset and disappointed. Most people aren't too upset about SSG because, they nerfed many things, but the stacks of Consuming Shadows were reduced to 10, so there wasn't much of a difference, even when I tried it out. However, the nerf for AA and VL needs to be reworked since considering one is 2k ACs ($10) and the other is the most reliable non member farming class.

As a VL main, I agree with you. With the DPS being lowered by 65% (if Im not mistaken), it reduces its efficiency against higher HP mobs for farming, however, it doesnt affect its overall performance in farming since its AoE and buffing skills havent changed. In conclusion, its DPS being nerfed too much is overkill and needs to be reworked along with Abyssal Angel since they are both seasonal, accessible to both players and purchasable via ACs

Farming is faster than ever. Get 2 high nuke sure hit farming classes (infinite dc, blaze binder, eternal inversionist) u can also use non sure hits but u take the risk (archpaladin). Equip one class, use nuke, switch to the other, use nuke, switch to orig class, use nuke, rinse and repeat. Only works for small health monsters but it works wonders. You couldn't do this at glitched rooms.

Does the PVP tier list consider the meta? like for example, infinite dark casters are very common in pvp and their 5th skill which is a sure hit skill will invalidate yami no yonin in bludrut as if often one hit KOs it even with the 5000+ Hp boost amulet. In addition, yami no ronin's only long range move is its 3rd skill and it is basically useless in fighting humans in bludrut when the guards are still alive, making yami no ronin almost useless in battle.

I think Vampire Lord has become an annoying farming class, but not a weak one, since it has a good overall damage. However it has no strong nuke, meaning single enemies may survive at any point. Since the class also attacks several targets even with the basic attack, this means it can be hard to finish the remaining mob off without involving respawns. If you want to take a break while farming somewhat healthy mobs (or turn in quest's which usually doesn't count since it's minor cheating), you usually have to leave the room, it's not the same for most other farming classes.

TamisMikes Z Yes, I certainly agree that with membership and all, progression is much easier. However, that doesn’t mean free players are completely shut off from the meta stuff. “Slow and dull” is a totally subjective opinion, and maybe there are lots of players who are willing to put through or even enjoy the grind. Ultimately, you can say that paying players would gain a bit of an upper hand, but this is by no means “pay-to-win”. Free players can still obtain the endgame stuff with their own effort and even help from friends (parties, lending the Nulgath Larvae etc.)

Yeah eternal inver needs the breather every rime because of that crap HOT but it can clear rooms if you have full health and mana shaman is the class I don't get why people like it has crap mana sustain then people say you need to auto attack for mana but you'd die before that, peace chaos slayer is my pick now
