Okinawans are well know for their musicality. Cocona from XG, for example, has her family’s roots in Okinawa. If you look up their history, you'll understand the music video senaries better. FYI, We pronounce “A” like Asia. Awich stands for her Japanese name 亜希子 that can break up into 亜 Asia, 希 wish, 子 child.

I would like more people overseas to know that Ozworld uses Okinawa's unique dialect and that the first song, "Reigo no hana ga hana ga kaze wo kowaru arashi kuru the boom," is a sampling of a typical Okinawan island song.

thank you for watching this song💕 i explain their culture and crews their all okinawan(one of indigenous of japanese) okinawa was not part of japan, it was different country(ryukyu kingdom) until 1879. okinawa is called "city of mix culture", there's so many ethnicity and races. especially in this song, they use 5 different language(japanese, chinese, ryukyuan, english, spanish) the crews↓ Awich akd Queen of japanese HIPHOP. she is big fan of 2Pac. she was living Atlanta for studied in GSU. she married African American guy and she has a daughter, but husband was shot by gun. Tsubaki（唾奇） is one of legend in japanese HIPHOP. his style is lazy and realistic lyrics. every his songs are so popular. normally he did not making song with others and do not live like this video. but he accepted this job for Awich. OZworld is young spiritual rapper from okinawa. he often singing by okinawan/ryukyuan language. in this song he use okinawan folk song style. He was born with a disability in legs, so he carries a cane. i recommending watch his song "NINOKUNI" and "shonganee". Chico Carlito is legend of japanese rap battle history. he start rapping 19 and only 3 years later he become champion of one of biggerst championship in japan. he is quarter of puerto rican, and his grandfather was US military. he took his stage name by grandfather's nickname.

Okinawa rocks!!! This isn’t traditional Japanese, but mixed with Okinawan music. Please, please do some research on Okinawa and you’ll see the background little better. OZworld(3rd rapper) is speaking lots of Okinawan here.

In Japan, only Okinawa became part of the United States. We are four people from Okinawa. Let's all smile and drink together without war. Even in Japan, Okinawa is a different island nation. It's a little different from Japanese cities. The U.S. military is also friends with the people of Okinawa. Although there are still scars from the war, I'm glad that songs from Japan's island nation are being heard overseas. thank you.

Okinawa is an island with unique roots in Japan. Originally, Okinawa itself was an independent country, but was occupied by Japan during the Samurai period and has remained so to this day. Okinawa was also occupied by the US for a while after WW2 and still has many US military bases. This song is by "Okinawans" who are proud of "Okinawa" which does not belong to anywhere.

The music sampled isn't actually "traditional Japanese stuff" It's Okinawan. Japan has multiple cultures within and since Okinawans have a strong identity, it might not be appropriate to call it "Japanese"
