The song that started an obsession. I booted up AT1 on a whim a few years ago blind, just on a whim. This song, strictly on a musical basis with no knowledge of the lyrics, left such an amazing impression that I ended up playing the first two games through multiple times each to get the different endings. I still get chills hearing the opening chords.

I still own the games, but HDTVs shatter the picture so I can't enjoy playing them anymore. PS5 can't play older than PS4 games. I don't know who to talk to so I could ask to get these remastered, or if any of the game developers would even care. Ar tonelico Melody of Elemia has been my #1 favorite game ever since I first played it. I can't find any games that even come close in comparison to the story, character development, environment, battle system, music and songs of the Ar tonelico series. Ar nosurge Ode to an Unborn Star was nice but not as good, and that was the most interactive RPG I've ever seen. I love the Japanese accent, and how they mix Hymnos words with Japanese words in many of their songs. I don't listen to these songs every day, week, month, or year, but I'll never forget about them. Yesterday I learned one of the vocalists for Ar tonelico also sings for the ending 2 on the anime Yona of the Dawn. I was watching that again and noticed some new things in that anime when I wasn't distracted by the story, like White Snake dressing up as a girl to protect Yona when she prepares to infiltrate enemy lines.

I got this game from my best friend for my birthday in 2008. By some strange coincidence, I had come across the trailer while perusing KZbin for Atelier Iris videos less than a month prior. Now, over a decade later, I cosplay from the series and have participated in a livedub, and upon listening to this song again I want to choreograph a waltz to it since the rhythm is right.

While it's good to finally have a lyrics video for this song, I have to point out you grabbed an older version of the translation that isn't as polished as the one from the wiki. Also, one of the chorus lines near the end ("Was num ra haf ar ciel") has a repeated translation from a previous line instead of the translation corresponding to it.

I played this game first time in 2015, didn't leave much impression on me and the PS2 I was borrowing died. I started replaying on emulator now and... I feel the change in my tastes with how much more I appreciate the game now as opposed to then. I've still got some of the same issues as then but much more love overall. What has remained the same is my love for this music. One of the greatest soundtracks ever
