I once had a Dr ask me if I had firearms in my home. I asked him if he was a licensed and bonded firearms safety consultant. That was the end of that line of questioning.

One guy at my school did his intire science fair perfect on ballistics. Stacked up news papers and shot them with all kinds of calibers to see what calibers, and bullet types went deeper. When I was in high school, a friend carried a .32 pistol in his trumpet case. Our school wasn't dangerous, probably because even high school students were armed. I carried a Buck 110 Hunter folding knife that was so large it wouldn't fit in my pocket and had to be carried in a belt sheath. Most guys carried pocket knives but nobody would think of stabbing someone because that's psycho.

I'm 70 yr's old former LEO with 2 children, my kids' grow up with firearms in the home, also almost every one that came over was carrying a weapon. My daughter was shotting on a NRA sectioned children's shooting team. We never worried about the kids as they were schooled from birth how to handle (or not) handle a weapon.

It's all the more ridiculous because you could take a Hunter's Safety/ snowmobile safety/ boater's safety/ ATV safety class in junior high as an elective in the same school district... also, that kid's poptart looked as much like Florida as it did a gun

Got searched one time because some kid mentioned hunting and licences and I said that TN is a constitutional state. Somebody said that I was bragging about carrying guns in school. Lucky for me I had almost no sleep the night before and woke up late, so I put on my closest pants and went out the door, those pants had a pocket knife in them because I use it during work. I live in AZ and I raised my children around firearms they knew at a very young age firearms are not toys and if they see one run away and tell an adult. Now they are older and I have taught them how to shoot and handle firearms. My youngest learned the firearms rules by 6.
