I don’t know how Diana Ankudinova chose this particular song, but I do know that there was a Q&A video where some fan asked her to please sing a song in Arabic, and not too long afterwards, she gave this performance. She is so responsive to her fans! 🙂

Yaay Dianochka! Don't be too harsh she had few days for this, i imagine trying to sing a Russian song, i would die :D Also true she was younger here, she worked on her upper register a lot. DoN't worry i understand you liked it but found the error. it's ok. :) Just heard her recent performance singing a cover of Sting's - Desert Rose, released few days ago, highly recommend it, if you know the original there is much room for freestyling in it. Diana is a world treasure, incredible range, tone and musicality. Try any of her songs, you will not be disappointed. Compare her performances of "Rechenka" or "Dernia Danse" (in French) both at 14 with "The day you" at 20. She was 17 in this song, her low range was well established but not her higher range.

Я не помню в каком возрасте исполнила Диана эту песню Далиды, пятнадцать-шестнадцать лет, но возможно в тот период она восстанавливала свой певческий диапазон, голос понизился, поэтому обошла эту сложную для неё в тот период часть. Сейчас она набрала диапазон близкий к четырем октавам. Вторая причина, Диана воспринимает некоторые песни на иностранном языке на слух и находит тех, кто может подкорректировать её произношение. Но арабский язык она не знает, скорее эту песню попросил исполнить кто нибудь из слушателей...❤

Great reaction to an amazing singer with a very unusual and unique voice. Another fantastic young singer you should definitely react to is 20 year old Lucy Thomas from the UK. She already has released 5 studio albums and has 70 + videos on utube. Many reactors seem to believe that she is destined to become an international superstar. Diana lost her high notes during puberty but began recovering them after Brandon Stone became her coach. Her performances in “The Show Mask Go Om” showed she had made progress. The video you reacted to appears to have dropped around that time. I don’t know whether she could’ve reached the note required at the time of that performance. I am no musician. Best wishes. ❤
