The problem with Lorantos is that he's that awkward kid you gave a chance as a friend in school who had no other friends, so he wants to be around 24/7 and has no social skills or awareness. The best proof for the portal thing is to look at what's happening when the portal has not fully passed the cube. If the cube is a cube with dimensions X and the portal is moving at a speed of 1X per second, then let's set time = 0 when the portal makes contact with the cube. At time 0.25 seconds 0.25X has passed through the portal so the top edge of the cube has necessarily moved from 0-0.25X from the destination portal, meaning the top edge of the portal is moving at speed 1X per second, the same is true for 0.5 and 0.75 seconds in. Unless there's some type of force that triggers once the portal has fully passed the cube, the top edge of the cube(and each horizontal slice of the cube) will continue moving at 1X per second. I always find it funny when people say someone's completely wrong when they themselves are objectively wrong. The A/B portal can technically work either way, but is impossible either way and has _more_ problems with physics if someone chooses option A. In that sense B is the "more correct" answer but it's still kind of dumb to say that there is a correct answer (unless you want to talk about how it works in the game, and in the game the object will not even be able to enter the portal, and will not go through) Both 20% and 80% are incorrect answers for the object-in box with compartments question. There's initially 5 discrete potential states all with coincidentally equal chances, checking 3 of them eliminates them from consideration, leaving only 2 states. This damn portal question triggers me so much. What Destiny is talking about is called relative motion and frames of reference. This is correct. This works for a hula-hoop or anything in the real world. The problem is that relative motion and reference frames are based on physical laws. For instance Newton's three laws are broken by the portal. Kinetic energy is also based on these laws so it too is broken by the portal. So the only way to answer this is to find some principle more fundamental than those laws. My guess would be that motion can only be caused by applying a force. In this case since the portal doesn't touch the block no force is applied to it and it can't move. Therefore A is correct.

On the portal question, Destiny is dumb/bad faith for not granting/assuming that it is in relation to a planet type frame of reference. Where the platforms and ramp that have the portals are fixed relative to that frame of reference. From the sound of it, if one portal is moving towards you as you are stationary relative to the other portal then you have to imagine the moving portal isn't just a portal but the whole universe within that portal and that whole universe does not stop moving as you pass through the portal. You just eventually naturally react to all the forces within that portal. Its like you can remain upright before jumping through a portal on the ground while the other portal is on the wall and suddenly you are sideways. You didnt rotate, the universe suddenly rotated on you. Or how you can fall down into one portal and shoot up to a higher platform out the other when both portals are on the ground.
