For someone who’s constantly meming and too close to the sun a lot of the time as well, Qurontos seemed incredibly good faith and actually remorseful for offending Dan. I think it's pretty obvious that Destiny is afraid of Nick Fuentes. Or rather he saw the writing on the wall. What I mean is his little "project" was clearly to deradicalize Nick and get him and his community more on his side. That was the idea that he himself talked about, this wasn't a secret. But at some point Destiny realized he was losing the battle, Nick was way more effective than him at charming his own audience with humor/memes, to the point where Destiny's own chat was rooting and simping for Nick. So it became kind of obvious that if this continued, Nick would probably radicalize and recruit more people within DGG. This was a frustrating realization for Destiny because he wanted to believe that the better ideas (liberalism) would win but he had to swallow his pride and run away from the unstoppable Nick Fuentes.
