Is this really Arabic? Almost all sounds of the Arabic language are similar to Russian sounds. I didn't expect this. I thought it would be difficult. I'm pleasantly surprised. And I feel Arabic will be my third favorite language. Thank you for the lesson. It was great! 🙂👍

There are a couple of letters (the heavy and light kind of a sound) I always struggle with so that will be a good refreshment/refinement opportunity. It is so diffcult to read without harekaat. I am in the department of Arabic language and literature at University and It has been three months since we started. I failed two exams in the mid term. Because our books are written with harekaat and the questions asked in the exams are without harekaat. As a student who begins with no information of this language, absolute beginner, time given was not enough for me during the exam. What can I do to improve my reading?

One strategy to improve your reading skills is to gradually reduce your reliance on diacritical marks. Practice reading passages without harekaat regularly to become more accustomed to recognizing the patterns and sounds of words. Start with simpler texts and gradually move to more complex ones as you become more confident. One strategy that has proven helpful for me is to practice reading small paragraphs and phrases using online readers. These tools provide immediate feedback on pronunciation and comprehension, which can be invaluable for beginners
