Assalamu Alaykum.. may Allah bless more.. i am concern about the root of خاف .. Its مصدر is خَوْفٌ so its root must be خَوَفَ The ا in its مضارع form is actually و but to facilitate easy pronunciation the Arabs change the و into ا Generally, the changing of the weak letters ا،و،ي with each other is for the purpose of easy reading.
