The special connection between this verse and day of Fridays is that Allah has commended the Muslims to close their business on the first part of the day up until the Friday Khutba (Sermon) and the prayer has been established. I have had the chance to visit 7 Arab speaking countries for vacation or work. I enjoy countless rich cultural experiences, ate wonderful foods, and made lifelong friends. But I also remember the first time I visited England as a child in 1974. I have countless memories of the home of my great grandparents. I tried clotted cream, visited an oast house, ate eel pie, and watched Gwen Croake win Cook of the Realm. Despite being Muslim we still attended an Anglican church for holidays. Those of us who remember fine English culture see this as a bitersweet time. We can welcome new ways and new people while also feeling sad to think on those wonderful things that we will never see again. Newcomers aren't doing it (usually) to stuff your nose in it. They are just doing what comes naturally. Watch some Jack Hargreaves in your spare time and enjoy some nostalgia. It's not coming back.

Live Together with Respect: Many communities in the U.K. consist of people from various religious backgrounds living together peacefully.
