Every fajr athan this occurs, even in the Haram (you can look it up on KZbin, search for any Haram Fajr athan. This is authentic.

Baarak Allahu feekum! I just wanted to add two more that I hear quite often. 1) Pronoucing the هاء as a حاء in أشهد. Its almost like there is an assumption that the there is no "h" sound in Arabic and its always a حاء. 2) Prouncing the ألفات with تفخيم in words other than Allah, such as pronoucing صلاة as Salaw, and the شهادة as "Law ilawha illaw Allah"

As a non-muslim who is learning about Islam and arabic (learning arabic since 1 year ago) it always confuses me that some people say "aZan"....so I am pleased that you acknowledge this right near the start of the video! I figured that saying "aZan" must be some kind of regional pronunciation that we only get in Eastern Europe and Caucus region. But I may be wrong about that.

The ذ sound is actually incredibly rare cross-linguistically, ز being much more common. In pretty much every non-Arab country you go in, (Europe, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Indian Subcontinent, etc.) they will usually pronounce it as ازان instead.

@@Me-wv9od Thanks for the insight! In Old English there was a letter like that called "eth" (ð) which is equivalent to ذ , and still is used today in Iceland. In modern English of course that sound still exists in many words but we just no longer use the letter ð for it

You can elongate the end of each line because it's considered mad 'arid lil sukun. Except for Allahu Akbar (you can't say Allahu Akbaaaaaar) all other lines in azan can be elongated to 6 harakat. So like Ashhadoo an la ilaha illa Allaaaaaaah, or Hayya ala as-Solaaaaaaah or Hayya 'ala al-Falaaaaaaah. Exaggerating in singing or elongating the vowels in azan is makrooh if it doesn't change the meaning according to Syeikh ibn Uthaymeen in Sharh al-Mumti.
