I don’t know if you see my comment or not but really want to tell you that my parents didn’t teach me Quran and i am 21 so all my life i was really sad about it and I never tried reciting it by myself because I thought I can’t do it and really cried few months before and prayed to Allah that please Allah I want to recite Quran in this Ramadan and I’m not able to do it but please help me. So he really accepted my dua and made me discover your channel. InshaAllah in this ramadan i will complete whole Quran by following the rules you taught, i wrote them all and learned them. And also tried to reading it and then tested by listening to tilawah if I’m doing it right or wrong and I realised tht I completely can read Quran now. I cried alot by thanking Allah i did pray for you that you gave me this biggest happiness of my life and InshaAllah in Ramadan i will keep praying for you because you are really special for me now

No, when ن sakinah is followed by ر or ل you won't add any ghunnah, so you won't extend anything either. This is explained with more details in the intermediate level lessons .. Beginner lessons just introduce the concept without going into every detail. Barak Allahu feekum

Jazakallah for the beautiful videos you have made. May Allah bless you. I would like to give a small suggestion for this video. In the case of idgham, the letter ل and ر does not incorporate gunnah while merging, but ي م و and ن has gunnah while merging. Your first example of idgham indicates this, but may be explicit mention will help the new learners.

Assalamu alaikom My husband and i where reciting and he was reading along with what i was reciting and we came across something weird to us atleast In verse 7 of baqarah we have the wordd ghishawaTUN walahum The thing is i did not pronounce the TUN and my husband said why did you not pronounce it. We tried listening to reciters and for example raad al kurdi mishary and others did not recite the TUN in ghishawatun They say abasarihim ghishawa walahum adabun azheem So that is indeed merging but then abdul basit and another reciter did pronounce the TUN So it goes like Abasarihim ghishawatun walahum adabun azheem We tried looking up what it was and the letters where purple and it was idgham. My question is why do some reciters pronounce the TUN but others dont? And what is more correct?
@Arabic1012 жыл бұрын
Wa alikom asslam, All reciters pronounce the idgham at the end of the word غشاوة But if the reciter recites slower than another, the idgham (or the merging) of the nun sakinah with waw that comes after it, this idgham will show more, so it would seem different, but it is not. If you are not sure how you should pronounce it, then record your recitation and I will listen to it in shaa Allah, that is the best way to make sure that it is recited properly. Asslamo alikom

@Arabic101 Жыл бұрын
Wa alikom asslam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh, I recognize the problem .. I recommend using the Microsoft Word Mushaf that you can download from the website. When you open it, choose all the text and then click on 'justify' which has the icon of 4 lines on top of each other. This will generate more spaces between the words and make it easy for you to see where the word starts and ends. Hope this works for you in shaa Allah Asslamo alikom

So, there is no "dunya" word in the Quran. It would be prounounced as "duyyya"? Also, my teacher said that from the yermelun sounds, "lam" and "ra", do not receive the 2 harakat. Any truth to this?
@Arabic1014 жыл бұрын
First of all .. No These four words بنيان , دنيا , صنوان , قنوان (dunya is obviously one of them) are excepted because it was never narrated that the Prophet (PBUH) pronounced them like you did when teaching the Sahabah the Quran. So these words are an exception for that rule, and therefore dunya is pronounced as dunya. Secondly, that's true yes. We call that Idgham without Ghunna .. Ghunnah is that nasal sound which is indeed 2 harakat.
