Sir, sometimes I see a natural madd for alif but with a و. For example 23:4 it says zakaati but in that word there is a و with a natural alif madd, why is there a و with madd instead of a normal alif madd to extend the kaati part of the word?

Hi, I was wondering about how to stop on a word where there's a connected madd at the end, like "السمآء، مآء، يشآء". Do you extend the madd for 5 harakat or apply temporary madd and choose between 2, 4, or 6 harakat? Thank you!
@Arabic1012 жыл бұрын
Asslamo alikom, You may stop at these words with 5 harakat, and it can also be considered a type of madd lazem, and extend for six harakat. These are the only two options. Asslamo alikom

Assalamu alaikum... I have a question about tanweens... So if an ayat end in a tanweens for example in surah Al Fath 48 the first ayat ends in the word "مُّبِينًا".. And when reading this you say mubeena and not mubeen, but for example in surah Al mulk 67 the first ayat ends in "قَدِيرٌ" then u say qadeer and not qadeeru... How come u pronounce the َ in the ً and not the ُ or ِ in ٌ or ٍ ... And what happens if an ayat end in َ، ُ، ِ ، are u supposed to pronounce them...
@Arabic1013 жыл бұрын
Wa alikom asslam. If you are stopping you should not pronounce any short vowels or tanween. Neither in surah fath nor in Almulk. Please view this lesson for more information: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oGSkg2ljd7mbhrc

Walaikumus Salaam. Those are not the examples of Madd Aaridh lis Sukoon, which exists only when a natural Madd letter is followed by a saakin letter at the stop (Waqf). When there is a Tanween at the stop, it is to be read according to its own rule.
