My one & only child is going to be 44 just before Valentine’s Day & I’ve been trying to remember, I don’t think I had a diaper bag or a bag for myself for the hospital. My support was my mom, since I wasn’t married & the father didn’t want to be part of anything. I even shared a 2 bdrm apt with my mom, so my son & I shared a room. I used the bassinet that was mine when I was a baby, it seems I had it on a small dresser. Right beside it was something else from my childhood, a miniature china cabinet my step grandfather had made. I used that for baby wipes, just all kinds of things, I LOVED having it!! My son also did not like a bottle or a pacifier, I breastfed him till he was about 6 1/2 months old. Also, the last 3-4 wks, I was put on bed rest, I wasn’t supposed to be doing anything. I even had to stay in the hospital for that entire week after having him. Oh yeah, my mother brought the things I was going to need for the baby & I to go home in!!! You, my dear are going to be GREAT!!! You’ve got your husband, your boy’s & that little girl who I am sure is going to be a HUGE help!!! Just get as much rest as you can & as for me?? I’ll be here for whenever you can film, just give yourself the time YOU NEED!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Araceli, thank you so much for being so raw and honest with what you are feeling right now as you prepare for the arrival of your new baby. It takes me back to when I was getting ready to have each of my children. It is so good to know, as mothers, that we are not alone in our sometimes irrational feelings. I remember feeling some of the same emotions you are describing. Lifting you up in prayer as you prepare for the arrival of your new little man and for what they call the "fourth trimester". Thank you.

Great job! And I’m glad you brought “the talk” to the surface! That subject seems to be lost with most couples! You’ve come along way and give yourself credit for all you’ve gone though and I am so proud and happy for you! You’ve got this girl!’b❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I think it is great the you are sharing about your experiences and that your checklist includes having the “talk” everything you experienced was normal but no one tells you about it. There’s a great book called something like how not to hate your husband after having a baby. Sounds awful but it is super real and most woman and their significant others are not aware of those feelings. This checklist is great! My baby came at 34.5 weeks and I had none of this ready, I was ordering my breast pump while in labor. I think all I needed in the hospital was comfy pajamas, shampoo and conditioner, phone charger and something comfy to wear home. I had the Spectra breast pump to start with and it did not work well for me but it worked great for my friend, I think it is really depends on the person and their needs, I ended up using the Medela and that worked perfect for me.

Definitely split the responsibility we did that when our kids were born. Even when he started to work. Night time we took turns it’s so important for mom to get some sleep too. Good luck wishing you all the best.

I had postpartum depression with my son. I think it was bad with him because I had a c-section with him. My daughter was born first and I didn't have any issues with her. You're allowed to be emotional, you're pregnant. I hate you had to go through that with your boys. You're a wonderful person.

Araceli I’ll be praying for you and the baby and your family.. It’s really is hard on us when we first come home from the hospital.. I know my 1st marriage I didn’t get any help and on top of that I had to go back to work 2wks early, which I needed to before I had to hurt him.. Now my 2nd marriage wow what a difference and I too took it out on him because I thought he would be the same and it’s 💯 % was totally different just wish I had of had him the first go around, some men aren’t cut out too be a daddy..Needless to say my children love him so much and that’s their dad... I know you guys will be just fine! I have too say you sure don’t look pregnant and your skin and hair is stunning you are just gorgeous... Take care my friend and just remember you have a prayer warrior praying for you and that precious baby boy...

You hang in there sweetie! All these things are normal with pregnancy! Your body is going through a lot of hormone changing! I had very bad thoughts after my second pregnancy! I honestly thought I was going crazy. I talked with my doctor and he put me on medication to help me with all the chemical changes that I was going through. Don’t be afraid of discussing this with your doctor! It really happen quite often to women that are pregnant and even after pregnancy! There is help out there for you!! I’ll be praying for you!!

Oh girl, I had the same with my daughter. No bottles for her. I got her to use a pacifier, it was a Nuk. I didn’t get a chance to really use my pump. Yes, hygiene. You look beautiful no matter what. It’s rough having been in a bad relationship. I’ve been there so I know why you feel/felt. When you are abused there will always be triggers. I pray your conversation goes well for both of you. Yes, the domino effect. Don’t apologize, you are human. Be well my friend.🤗

Prioritize what is left to do on your list and I think you will be just fine. Don’t stress because babies and toddlers pick up on that very easily. Just because your little girl was “a handful” doesn’t mean this little guy will be the same. He could turn out to be the definition of cool. Your boys are older now so they can help out with their little sister and the baby so let them. And above all else, relax every thing will be okay. One more thing, once the baby is older he can share a room with his big sis-not one thing wrong with that at all. 👍🏻❤️

I wish you all the best and don't apologize for being emotional! After ALL we go through you are entitled!! One thing that really helped me after each delivery was my mom coming over everyday and cooked for us. She would tidy up the house and there was always food on the stove. I will be forever grateful to her for that. I highly suggest asking for help with that.

Thank you! That is so awesome of her to help you out like that. I have rarely heard from my mom during this pregnancy, but my in laws have been amazing and are always offering their help and support 💕

@Araceli Chan Take their help especially with your daughter being so small and energized. I had 4 kids 2 years apart and 1 and a half years apart and I was exhausted, nursing and trying to take care of everything and everyone thats why I was so grateful for the help with food.

No it is not all up to us. Unfortunately, the baby can be picky and prefer not to take the bottle and dad has no idea. Let go of the control and trust him. He will make mistakes. He will forget to look before taking off the diaper and he will not cover the gun then he will get peed on. Lol. I have been married twice. My first husband was a great dad and hands on until his death due to cancer in 2017. We were divorced. My second husband was a cautious because our daughter was so much smaller than his first two. Prepare for everything even colic. Maybe let your husband pamper you. He might need some direction but he can do it. Let go of the control and thinking that you must be in charge. Your husband is a good man and I know he is waiting to be asked.
