This is why Skillet is so popular. The are down to earth with the real issues. Songs like, the Last Night, (adressing suicide), Lucy, (addressing Abortion), and Hero (adressing the human struggle) are what draw people to them. They take the approach from a standpoint that the world is messed up, and that we need someone to heal us. They are a Christian band (read their CD dedications), and I think they really adress the real problems in the best way possible.

I dunno if anyone else does this but I like to listen to songs for the scenes I can make that reflect the rhythm of the music. (I listen to the words when I'm not imagining) In this song I see a sword fight in a shadowed arena that happens. Four figures with swords all walk towards a silhouette figure who is kneeling with a sword displayed, all the figures are blackened in shadow and you can't see what they look like. The four attackers all fight the defender in a 4v1 in tune with the music from fast frenzies and supernatural movement to subtle blocking and precise skill. When the word black is repeated all alone and the music goes for a few seconds this is when the shadowed defender finally stabs and kills one of the four attackers, the death goes in slow motion as the words echo and suddenly all the people are shown. The defender looks in horror as he sees that the person he just killed looks exactly like him, blood runs down his blade and he feels a massive burning wound in his chest as he presses the sword in the attacker. The music starts up again and the shown defender goes back to the fight but now every strike he lands he hurts himself and the all others. As the last lines play he's screaming for them to stop but they keep on going until, at last, he falls from their wounds and dies in his own struggle. To anybody who actually read all this, props to you and your outstanding curiosity. I'm weird, but that's what the imagination is made from.
