@@Championhelmets well, I ride with Arai helmets since I started doing my license and I absolutely love them. Super comfy, awesome service, the best quality. I'm at my 9th Arai at the moment and the only other brand, I ride in are Shoei helmets.

There is 1 thing you left out . No drop down visor. However I 2 days ago tuck delivery of the above said helmet. When put the helmet on it was just perfect but I do like to were sun glasses. I tried mine on whilst wearing the helmet and guss what ....... they fit perfectly and not digging in the side of my head. So comfortable. I highly recommend this modle . Arai nr5 was my first helmet, I sat perfect and all. I never realised that Arai was a good brand either, for me it was 'just a helmet'. I was a newbie and had no insight in anything. So I thought all other helmets where as good. Because I had at that point never tried a bad helmet. But o'boy how unaware I was that Arai put the bar HIGH. Only when Ive sold it and got a new Nolan helmet, I realised what mistake Ive done. The perfect fit was gone. And many many helmets later, I still miss the fit of my Arai nr 5... :-( Its time to get an Arai again, and this time, Arai will stay.

The quietest full face sports helmet that we've taken out on our road test is the Scorpion EXO R1 Air with a result of about 98 dB, so that may be a possible option. On the snell website there is no x-spirit 3on the list but x14. As I know the weight is slightly difference between 2 same sizes correct me if I am wrong

That's correct, there is a difference between the two helmets. For the US market Shoei produce the X-14, which is DOT only, has a slightly different head fit, and is heavier to meet the certification standards. Since SNELL only test DOT helmets, they only list the X-14. In contrast, the X-Spirit 3 is only ECE 22.05 certified, and is somewhat lighter. However, the X-Spirit 3 has also been rated by SHARP where it received 5/5 stars for safety. Thanks for the comment! What do you think of the X14/X-Spirit 3?

I am gonna asking this question.. Which helmet is more comfortable and look like an elegant helm from the interior line , HJC RPHA 11 or Arai RX7 ??

While questions of comfort may come down to personal preference, over the course of road testing various helmets from both HJC and Arai, we've found that both often come out as equal in their high-quality construction and quality. However, that being said, the RX-7V interior does come with more advanced features such as peel away liner pads for an optimum fit and foam springs to ensure the helmet does not come loose. In addition to comfort, we'd also stick with the Arai due to its much stronger safety performance since it has been SNELL certified and scored 5/5 stars from SHARP. Thanks for the question! I know this review is almost a year old but I had to speak and say. You Totally passed off all the adjustments that one can customize in just the headrest it self. The cheek pads you can alaways order up or down on sizes when needed. Plus its low cost .

Arai always do a great job of offering excellent fitment options. Not only can the cheek pads and liner be swapped for a better fit, but foam spring pads and 5mm peel away pads also make a great difference in getting that perfect fit. Thanks for the comment! Nice review.Is this ideal for touring or only for sportbikes? I mean the riding chance in sportbikes which is a little bend forward

Hey there! The RX-7V is more of a sport helmet so its design is optimized for that riding style. But, if you were hoping to wear it for touring then you still could. The main difference here would be that it will be a very loud helmet, since it wasn't designed to keep noise out, which isn't ideal for touring so you would need ear plugs. Nonetheless, we found ventilated very well even on the highway and it was also very comfortable so it should still give you a good ride. If you wanted to go for something a bit sporty but still in touring, you might want to look at the Shoei GT Air II, since it had very good noise isolation, or the Arai Profile-V if you wanted to stick with Arai. What drew you to the RX-7V?

Hi Team, I hope you guys can give me a solid suggestion. I just bought an RX7V size XS. I am exactly a size 56.2 cm and wear a size small in Shoei. The shop owner suggested to go down size to XS which I believe as per the Arai website is for head size upto 54cm. I've been wearing the helmet in my house and apparently all the hotspots are gone now. 2 observations though 1: The chin curtain plastic rubs on my forehead and has caused a rash. 2: My nose touches the breath guard when looking upwards . In your experience, what should I do. A reply would be highly appreciated Cheers!

Other than the different certifications and a slightly rounder head fit in the RX-7X, there should be no major difference between the European RX-7V and the Japanese RX-7X. Thanks for the question! What are your thoughts on the Arai helmet?
