Thank you Scott. I cannot wait to see yours also. Not all the Home Depot carry a wide array of plants. The one on 159th really was like striking gold. Take care Scott and enjoy the rest of the day and relax with a nice hot cup of tea. Tom

Beautiful Fabian. I haven’t seen them at my Home Depot.
@growclipbonsaiforseniors19513 жыл бұрын
I know that not all Home Depot carry them. I had to travel a half hour to one and they had a skid full of both Fabian and Ming together. I had to look under the benches to find them tucked away between the other plants. If you have more than one Home Depot in your area, check them out and also the lower shelves. Take care and have a great day. Tom

Thank you Jonah. Do you have a Home Depot out your way? If you do, it might be worth looking into getting one for yourself to try. With your skill with succulents and the nice weather you have, I know you can make a nice tree for yourself. Have a nice and relaxing evening tonight with a nice hot cup of tea. Tom

Thank you Matt. I was lucky to hit it. I had gone to 3 and this one had a fresh arrival of indoor plants with the Aralia on the skids. Grabbed the best of the bunch. Enjoy the day today and relax with a hot cup of tea tonight. Tom

Thank you Pat. Rabbits, my niece found them on line. Something like 24 for $15 a couple years ago. Sometimes you find deals of statues in good quality for less money. Enjoy the rest of the day and have a relaxing evening. Tom

Thank you. I just came back from Home Depot in the afternoon today and found 2 more nice ones with nice trunks. Seems like they received more in the past week. I cannot believe the trunks. Looks like they took a stump and just stuck it in peat moss and rooted them that way. Do you have a Home Depot out your way to check out? Might be worth it if you do. $15. Not bad if one wants to start out with a nice tree to practice on as their first. Enjoy a nice restful evening with a nice cup of tea to relax with. Tom

I might check it out this week, if they're $ 15 there than chances are they'd be around $30 here. Thanks Tom, hopefully they'll have some to at least look at.

@@BonsaiJCan From what I have seen. Home Depot usually keeps there prices the same. Hopefully you can get one for $15. Fingers crossed. Tom

Mr. Tom, thanks for the video. Just purchased my first Fabian. I already have a ponytail palm and ficus bonsai ginseng and I think I’m interested in more houses pants or hat are “mini trees”. What are the products you added to the soil of the Fabian plant roots again?

Never mind. I found it, Azos beneficial.

Wow! A Fabian. The items I use are from Xtreme Gardens called Mykos and Azos. Both are a beneficial bacteria. Great starting out with the Ponytail and the Ginseng. Stay safe and enjoy the day with a nice relaxing hot cup of tea. Tom

Beautiful Bonsai. Thanks for sharing. I have two Fabians and the larger one has lost 90 percent of its leaves and the stems are soft. All of this happened after repotting. Is there a way to save it?
@growclipbonsaiforseniors19512 жыл бұрын
I am working on that problem also. It might be the root system being very small from the vendor. Right now I am just watering them when dry and misting them everyday. The 3 than my friend took for his store kept all the leaves for 3 weeks and then lost them all. After a month in his sunny store window, they are starting to grow again. He mists them in the morning and water when dries. I will keep everyone informed once I solve the problem. Right now mine are in the basement with low light. Once the weather warms I will bring in the sun. Be patient. I had a pomegranate look dead for 6 months and then started growing in the fall. I am working on the problem. I never give up and I keep searching as to why. My first with this tree and I am not giving up. Hope it helps a bit, I wish I could give you a magic answer, I cannot as of this moment. Stay safe Queen Brown and enjoy a relaxing evening with a hot cup of tea. Tom

@@AuthorQueenBrown Good evening Queen Brown. I did some in-depth research. Fabian likes 70F/21C to 80F/26C temps with bright indirect sunlight for at least 4 hours. Once Fabian gets cold or not enough light, it drops all its leaves. Water when the top inch is dry. My friend had his 3 in the window sill of the shop and once the cold returned, all the leaves dropped. My basement has very low light and not what the plant likes. Once the Fabian gets the conditions it likes, it should make a full recovery. I hope this is more helpful. Tom

Love your videos but sadly i cant realy have "indoor" or tropical trees as i dont have a real indoor cus i live in a tiny 12foot caravan but i have some small indoor plants but my home is only frost free not realy heated i only heat at night and 5weeks mid winter. My kids was painting rocks for the trees yesterday but in this wether the paint is slow drying
@growclipbonsaiforseniors19513 жыл бұрын
Thank you Anders. I know that it is hard to keep tropical plants in the house for some. The tree does not have to be an enormous tree, just one that fits comfortably in the space you have for it. That is why I try to do small ones also. This way it is easier for us to take care of. I am glad that the kids are having fun painting the rocks. Great family fun which the kids love. Take care Anders and have a nice relaxing day and enjoy the evening with a nice hot cup of tea. Tom

It is called Azos. A beneficial bacteria from Xtreme gardening. Since no beneficial bacteria in the newly planted soil, I always add. Just something to help the roots from the transplanting shock. Have a great day and a relaxing evening with a nice hot cup of tea. Tom
