Orphaned at a young age and in search of a livelihood, Huchappa migrated from his village to Bengaluru in 1950. He found employment with UP Brahmins who were dispensing paani poori from streetside carts. Having learnt the trade, he struck out on his own with a pushcart in Nagarathpet in 1950, infusing North Indian style chaats with local flavours. His son, Kumar continues the tradition under the shade of a temple peepal tree, which also gives his very popular chaat shop its name, Arali Mara, peepal tree in Kannada. Got to witness KAE(Kripal Ammanna Effect)... It is an after effect of Mr Kripal Ammanna visting an eatery, were there is a huge influx of customers and stocks run out couple of hours before the actual closing hours...Went around 6 30pm only to get to taste two items panipuri and masala puri... :P Dahi puri, Sev puri and Bhel were out of stock ..

I had my life's first ever plate of pani puri as well as masala puri in 90s here .. used to stay in Chamrajpet till 95 .. remember paying 1 rupee 25 paise for a plate.. masala color has changed was a gaadi then

This along with karnataka bhel house was my favorite..whole aloo used to be inside the masala which used to be taken out of masala for the aloo puri and waiting time was higher for alu puri and bhel puri as first priority was for masala Ana pani puri orders

Hello, After watching your video, today we had visited the place. As expected, it was crowded. We are okay to wait to taste the chats. But, as it was crowded the chats were over and they were trying to adjust and asked us to wait for 10 mins. But, we couldn't be there more than 3 mins because of how he was shouting and using abusive words to his pani puri maker. He threw stuffs on him to prepare quickly and behaved worse to his employees. That was not appreciated we quickly walked away from that place. As we are your followers I thought of bringing this to your notice. And, I humbly request you not to promote such eateries who are abusive to there employees. (It happend on 5 August 2021 at around 8:30PM)

Kripal I have been following your reviews. I tasted amrith ice creams and it was excellent. I had similar expectation when I visited this aralimara pani puri yesterday but it was below expectation. It appears they are treating you best dishes and to general public it is below par. Nothing great about taste here. Crowd management was poor and chaats were not so great. I felt it a waste to travel this far for not so great chat with only 2 chaats on offer masala puri and pani puri.
