After finding your video a year back I thought to check out Arapahoe Bar with my 2 feet sluice box and ended up finding around 22 peaces of gold. I upgraded to a 50 inch sluice box that is way better then my old one. I can't wait to go back out again. Thank you for your videos. 🙂

I have two bazooka sluices. I bought them from the maker in Coloma. I have the miner and the prospector sizes. I would pull 1-2 grams in four hours at the Bear River Campground. Great placer flood gold. I’m amazed at the micro fly poop the bazooka sluice retain.

Also....I've been watching Dan use the Arbor Classifier for the last year. Seen it work in person. Was almost sold....then this video. You're comment about feeling bad for her and her plastic classifier really hit home. I was like "Yeah! That plastic one SUCKS! I'm replacing mine now" - since I've already gone through 3 of them. Gonna go buy the arbor set now, will use your code.

Love this video! I would be very happy with what you found on that day. You were definitely digging in a great spot! Did you ever get to bedrock? If not, you might have found some pickers. We have "gold" in Indiana too, but it is mainly flour gold. Nothing like what Dan Hurd finds! I like your magnet creation! Fantastic idea. I have bought several of the neodymium magnets, but yours works so much better!

learning noob here. what's the reason for the gloves when cleaning up concentrates?

Welcome to the show! The gloves are for preventing oils from contaminating the gold, which will cause it to become hydrophobic, making it possible for the gold to float away on the surface tension of the water.

Hey Kelsh! Ever looked at getting a Batea Pan? They are HUGE and seem like the best way to pan, just judging from all the videos I watch. Vo-Gus Prospecting uses one all the time, and is a big fan so I’d recommend reaching out to him for a bit more info on them, im sure he’d be happy to help... ALSO: he’s had a realll rough go of it recently with his beautiful best friend Grizzly(his dog) passing away after getting into some animal poison ppl had left in the woods while they were out panning. I’d imagine that hearing from you would be a boost to his spirits in a time he could use it. This is a great community we got here, and we gotta help look out for each other!! Hope you reach out to him regardless of the batea pan or not :)
