I enjoy watching you find things at yard sales that YOU want, rather than stuff you are going to melt down or resell. :)

When people tell the seller what they have and how to get the higher money price for it, it makes it harder for other people behind you to get a deal. Also, many people want to over price what they have anyway, those are the people that should know that they are over charging. Just my opinion but...if they haven't done the research prior, they are more likely to sell at a decent price, that is what people are looking for at garage sales.

That scrimshaw pendant might have been ivory... Har to tell from behind the keyboard here, but if it's legit those little carvings can be a good score...

The scrimmshaw pendant was pretty cool. I've done scrimmshaw work on a powder horn, it's pretty hard to do freehand.

Don't get your hopes up on that Continental Currency coin. I have one my brother bought as a souvenir from his 8th grade Washington D.C. trip in the early 90's. It does not have COPY stamped on it like they all do now.

You should know by now that I love your yardsales. Good to see you and your garage looks fantastic. My brother hunts and he has lots of those antlers in a room in his home. I will have to ask him if he knows how much they're worth. ATB!

Magic the Gathering expert here: It's an interesting binder because most of the cards are fairly old, with 2000-2003 making up the majority of the cards. Nothing in specific in there leaps out as a super valuable card and honestly most of the pages are full of basic lands which typically aren't worth anything but the presence of a few rares, foils and staple commons means it could have some okay things in it and it isn't utterly worthless. Odds are you are getting the better deal out of this than your brother, though.
