Hey guys! I thought it was high time again for another Donkey Kong Country 2 metal cover. It wasn't until recently that I discovered this beautiful theme and decided I should immediately make a metal cover of it.
This theme was a bit different from the other Donkey Kong Country themes due to the 'swingy' feel in the original. I thought I'd give it an extra boost and render most of the song in triplet feel. I'm really happy with the way it turned out.
So sit back, relax and bop your hot head! And don't touch the lava.

A "hot head bop" without a hyphen is a head bop that is hot. This is not the same as the song's actual name, "hot-head bop," which is the bop of a hot-head.

+HoPo Feather Thanks man! I use Guitar Rig Pro 5 for all my guitar tones :) I've also added a bit of compression, echo (delay) and EQ-ing to get rid of the muddy lows and enhance the mid to high freqs.

Yeah i use Guitar Rig 5 with a Roland quad capture but I always have thé feeling that my tone has way too much treble ni matter what settings I have.. Do you have any tips ?

+HoPo Feather Hmm what guitar and pickups are you using? It could be that your pickups aren't picking up on the lower frequencies, or perhaps (if possible) you should heighten the pickups a bit so they're closer to your strings. Also, if you're making full covers (with drums + bass and everything) it's not that much of a bad thing if your guitar doesn't have a lot of lows, since you have to filter most of them out anyway. That part of the spectrum belongs to the drums and bass :)

***** I own two guitars, a Squier Stratocaster, customized with three great Dimarzio pickup. My other guitar is a 15-year-old guitar, a Samick (aka Valley Heart) with three great Seymour Duncan pickups (a little 59, a tb4 and a custom), so I think i have great stuff.. I'll look if I can heighten the pickups maybe that's the problem.. I still don't any bass, so I'm working without it :/
