It's the thinnest layer of ground meat covered with a thin layer of flour bread.. Yes it cooks the meat through, like you never made a smash patty? Those cook, these cook fine too. Tired of folks saying this on these recipes. They're fantastic.

Thank you so much for writing. I really appreciate. Like you mentioned, it's a very thin layer so it cooks well.

They’re also referred to as Syrian Spices: allspice, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg. I also add cumin to this meat mixture.

People are so completely culinarily incompetent. These cook easy- please don't cook the meat before stuffing them, you'll ruin it!

Is it uncooked beef mince? If yes, how will it even cook ?

It is a thin layer of meat we are using. It will cook, flip and cook until it is done. Or grill it.

Very delicious but cook the meat first

No don't do that- don't over stuff and cook on medium high, they steam inside and it cooks. So tired of this. I am making these right now, my third time- it cooks!

No. We are spreading thin layer. And cook until the meat is done.
