Why is it that the best singers were kept from the success they should have had? This woman has the most amazing voice - full of power. So many “artists” that can’t carry a note if they tried, have reached the pinnacle of fame and riches when you have a beautiful voice and song like this, that should have. Their fate was determined by bog corporate media and D.J.’s. So glad that today, a musician or singer doesn’t need corporate media, like that; they just need to build their following on social media and that is what matters. I remember the single and only time I ever heard this song. Seems like it was 1988 or 89. I was flipping through the cable stations at 12 or 13 years old and this was on the closing credits of some guy who had a show on BET ; his name was Donnie but I can’t remember his last name. I was never able to catch the artists name but knew the lyrics. It took 30 years for me to have this song pop back into my head and now be able to Google the lyrics to find it. It was a wonderfully beautiful song then and still is now. A woman like Leata exuded sensuality and beautify with her powerful voice without looking like and acting like a tramp like we see so many do today. She has a certain Andie McDowell quality to her beauty.

At first listen Leata Galloway sounds like Tina Turner but looks like Cher, Leata's vocal sound is very sultry,bluesy,jazzy and soulful sexy! I have ordered her CD "The Naked Truth" from amazon!!!
