The 2% mana on kill are going for 20 exalts. You won't even get a blue 2% one for 10 ex. How the hell you farmed enough currency to get several of those?

So glad to see like-minded theorycrafters! I've been building this - with some deviation but similar foundation. Im stacking cast speed, with a goal of 5 Arcs a second and currently have a mana pool of 2.5k. This build takes gear and patience but its so busted. It's a nice change from all the current meta stuff out there.

Yea people are sleeping on this build! Personally I didn't go full cast speed because I wanted to be mana efficient, cuz it's easy to spend all your mana on offense ;)

04:40 Clearly they don't give a fuck of casual gamers. Their main target are very young kids with no social life and no jobs. Not just the mechanics call for a slower gameplay compared to poe 1, but they even increased the size of the maps. 😵‍💫

I'm at lvl 22 so far and it's a really nice and effective, yet simple build. Enjoying it a lot so far. The most challenging boss so far was Rudja The Dread Engineer for some reason...she withstood the DPS exceptionally well (quite weird because I don't think she has resistances against electrical damage) As of now I did not run into any mana issues thus I picked Ice Armor for a slightly better survivability - but I assume mana regen will be a big deal later on, so your comments throughout the guide make perfect sense. Thanks a lot for the guide! This class is curing my lvl55 Mercenary depression so far... For me the biggest issue is finding/crafting/having proper gear... 😅

Nice walkthrough. Currently i do to this build, however i stack alot of energy shield, which feels better than life, and also getting Chaos Inoculation at some point when having 3k+ es. However i feel i have trouble with damage with this approach. I also am SSF, so that might gate alot of damage though.

@@PhoenixLive_YT I have a semi end game version of the build. I'm running CI with quite good gear and went from 4, 6, 8k ES in the last few days. I will say that you do give up a lot of damage potential and lightning nodes on the passive tree for the energy shield nodes in order to feel safe in T15 maps. But I can delete entire screens of mobs and kill rares in a few hits outside of things like delirium. The biggest problem right now for me is sustaining the mana cost of arc on bosses and it feels like I need some kind of cast on shock technology in order to truly melt bosses.

@@PhoenixLive_YT Ah, but not in reality! :) I thought so too at first, until I took a closer look. Yes, it reduces the initial damage by 50% less, but chain support increases the main gems number of chains by 100% more chains as well as adding chains (!). On base level gems in start of campaign this makes arc have up to 8 chains, and with arcs built in 10% more damage per remaining chain, that makes the damage on first chain 80% more, overcoming the initial 50% loss, as well as increasing clear with more chains even if the last ones are weaker. Once you get better gems and more chain from other sources it just gets better. On all other gems than arc, chain will reduce the damage, but arc got the chain damage bonus built in.

@@Shootbywill No, you keep it, since it makes the initial hit a lot stronger on bosses as well as making clear better. As an example; Arc has 10% more damage per remaining chain built in, so say you build up to 10 chains form passives and gems etc (easy to do since the chain support gives 100% more number of chains to the supported skill, in addition to a few extra chains numerically). Even with the reduction of 50% of the chain gem, its is effectively a 50% more multiplier on the first hit if you have 10 chains. All in all it hits harder, and chains longer, and in my opinion is an auto include on Arc as it is now since both single target and clear benefits a lot from it. :) Kinda cool as well, since if you really invest in it and get lots of chains you get a fun skill :)

No lol you guys are calculating it wrong Chain will ALWAYS be less damage because the reduction is multiplicative, here is the full example: Level 20 Arc chains 6 times (+1 from tree) so that's 7 for a total of 170% initial damage on it's first target (100% base +70% from chain), now throw chain support, Arc chain counter will jump from 7 to 16 for a total of 260% initial damage on the first target.. BUT Wait, chain gem cuts your total damage in half so 260/2 = 130% total damage at the end. So here we see 160% Damage before chain vs 130% after, that's 22% Damage loss overall.

Yo, i have found spark to be less dps but far better for clearing then Arc. It has more projectiles, less aiming to do and even on bosses you can shoot randomly the boss still gets hit. Also, i have removed the point that took away my energy shield. Seems like an overkill, you are just spamming health pots and mana remnants are obsolete if you dont.
