4060ti is 4060 with 16gb vram. thats it. B580 struggles to hit 60 fps at 1440p, so it's a 1080p gpu. 4060 8gb cost $300 and has better performance. if you want better performance, then it's worth to pay more. also, 5060 is released in a few months. Nvidia will speed up the release date.

Here in Greece the cheapest(now) 4060ti 16Gb is at 458 euros. I dont know the Arc B580,but i believe around 280 euros. I think its gonna be a big war when intel Arc B580 will come here. Actually up to 90% and this is without dlss 3, putting this on would only double or triple performance. I agree the price is steep but why not invest your hard earned money into Nvidia and when they come around to their next generation card just sell some of your stock to either purchase the entire card or sell enough to offset the price? My biggest question is why your memory is lowered over on your B580 testing it seems a bit weird that if you are running everything but a graphics card as the same then the memory clock speed should be running roughly the same. I don’t know it just seems a bit weird because I get much higher FPS on at least 3 of those games with my B580 when I tested it and my memory was never that low on the speed.

Is it jus me, or Arc picture seems having more crisper image? For example 11:09 brick like tiles ahead is complete smear, not to mention tree which looks like blob of color instead of a tree on 4060. It feels like almost 4060 renders it internally with way smaller resolution.

I’m usually quite a nvidia fanboy. But these years they’ve been overpricing their gpu’s like crazy. So it would be really nice to have a gpu that has good features and preformance while being budget friendly. Intel is doing that right now for their gpu’s and I 100% support them. Bravo Intel!

As much as I love Intel coming in and standing up for the budget GPU market, I think this kinda proves Nvidia’s point that more VRAM isn’t as important as we all make it out to be, especially if the 4060 ti 6gb can sometimes outperform a card with twice the VRAM.

I like my little 5800x3d and 3060 ti combo (I mainly play optimized fps games) so it’s more than enough but I’ve been pondering a 4070 Super or 4080 for a little upgrade. However, now I feel like I should wait a bit and see if Intel comes out with a tier above this one that can crush 1440p. I would assume their next price point might be the $400 - 500 and if it can compete with $800+ NViDIA cards, I’m sold.

For the price, the B580 is a very good board. Starfield preforms pretty badly, but even then the lows are around 30 which is still playable on the ARC card. I've been pretty down on nVidia for a few reasons for the past few years. The last really good value proposition card they made was the 1080 TI. After shopping for my new PC a couple of months ago, I ended up going with an AMD card.

Considering the price difference and the fact that the Intel card has just been released this is an excellent result for Intel. The Nvidia card is coming to the end of it's generation and the B580 will only get better with updates and optimisation in the near future. I think I might just nab one if I can get it on price.

This GPU is supposed to be competing with the 4060 not the 4060ti. Being it's still cheaper than the 4060. You might as well be comparing it to the 4070 if you're choosing the 16GB 4060TI. It is not a fair comparison.

Closer than expected. cost almost twice less and with slight OC both gpus are almost at par. Only reason I'd get rtx 16gb at this point is for Stable diffusion, Blender and Ollama.

Intel is a clear winner here, Nvidia doesn't even bother with efficiency it consumes overall 30-50W more. So you basically saving money with B580 over time

Intel could potentially do really well in the low-to-mid-range (which is where the bulk of the money is). They don't need to chase the crown. They just need to offer compelling price/performance products. Ultimately, it'll come down to their drivers how well they do long-term. If they want to gain any meaningful market share, then, it's the drivers that will win it for them.
