On the use of wooden ladders? Keep in mind, how is the ladder stored? Can it be building/retaining moisture from wet / damp / humid environments. Think about it...

So an arc flash can set off 250,000 to 500,000 candela!!! This can damage the retina permanently - as bad as looking directly at a nuclear blast - and resultant blindness from the arc flash - CAN BE FOREVER!

Video is a good one but more videos on how to calculate incident energy and determine arc flash boundaries will be helpful to clear things .

(Fault current x voltage) - distance = fuck you up

It'd be too complicated when you start accounting for the protective devices upstream from the equipment you're using. By code there should be an arc flash analysis done by an engineer and the incident energy will be posted on the equipment.

Awesome video, I have seen many of these type but this, I give it a 12 in the scale of 1 to 10.

Depending on the voltage--especially if it is high, the explosive force of an arc blast can be nearly as powerful or as powerful as a stick of dynamite or even a traditional military grenade. That's my two bits.

Be careful working around industrial electrical safety switches. Be sure that all of the disconnects are off when working with any fuses. Watch for redundant or backup disconnects required to be operated before you do inside fuse work. Be sure that all load side fuses inside and outside are switched off before even thinking of working inside to replace them. Failure to heed the rules can lead to you facing a deadly arc flash.

Lockout-tagout rules HAVE TO BE HEEDED AT ALL COSTS. And if there is an arc flash boundary - if you are not qualified to work on electrical stuff in the boundary - STAY BACK AND NEVER CROSS IT! OR YOU DIE!
