Hey Dill!! Thanks for watching it and for the accolades. I try to put a piece of equipment through a good bit of different tests when I review it. Try to answer questions I have or had about tit before I bought the item or had it given to me to use and test out. Glad you got some useful info out of the video! Have a great week.

Hey Kirney! I like that they recovered so quickly from the water. They last a long time on a charge too. On the bad side they dont have a flame so that can make lighting some items difficult. But overall I am for carrying one of these. Even the cheap Bic ones. I have it in my queue to do a video on them as well.

@bombproofbushcraft3 жыл бұрын
Hey Kevin! Thanks for watching. I know you can light a cigarette with no difficulty because the tip of the cigarette or cigar can come in direct contact with the arc. However I would think that lighting pipe tobacco would be a bit more difficult because it can not come in contact with the arc. I suppose you could light a piece of paper of something and then use the paper to light your pipe. Thanks Kevin! Take care!

@XSevenSonata4 жыл бұрын
I have about fifty lighters. I collect different types. I have zippo styles, torch styles, arc and some other rechargeable ones that are not arc, more of a heating coil. Theres a company called Vector that makes butane inserts for zippo style that I buy. Because although I like the still flame, lighter fluid evaporates quicker than butane. I have a couple of those cases for zappos, too. With the gasket. I didn't buy this arc style until recently, though. I thought it was neat. I keep it in a small molle pouch with other electronics. The ability to create fire is a great gift.

You need to be more regular with your videos in that you started at one per week on a Sunday and that has changed to when ever and I don't think you have a forward looking plan as to what to cover on your videos. You know I don't think much of films of going round a gathering and see people tell you what they do but no one shows their items whether they are good or bad. Interviews? who are these people …. if you want subs and viewers from around the world these people need to be known and be interesting to your subs .. oh and interesting enough to get more subs. You are only at 430 subscribers after all this time …. going to take a long time to get to 1000 far less superstardom. I agree been looking forward to her video for awhile now kinda got worried alittle bit
@bombproofbushcraft5 жыл бұрын
Hey Jim! I wish I could be more regular with my vids. I know I used to put them out there once a week, but life has gotten complicated and quite busy. There are many things happening in my personal life that must take precedent. I am currently starting a business, working way too much at my regular job, and trying to organize thoughts and ideas for a website for my business. I also am helping organize a gathering for the spring and continue my training with different outdoor schools and people. That all adds up to taking as lot of time out of my week. The folks in those interviews (Jason Reddick, Benjamin Raven, Carleigh Fairchild, Tracy Wilson) have all been either on TV shows or written books on something to do with bushcraft survival and and self reliance. The videos I do at the gatherings are to help promote the folks that are following their passion by creating the goods we use in our industry. They need every minute of free advertising they can get, and I will keep doing those vids because without those folks we are forced to buy from Walmart, target and other big box stores. This channel is not about me getting to any number of subscribers by any given time. I know several folks right now that have youtube channels that literally hung in the hundreds of subs for years, then 1 video skyrocketed them to the tens of thousands. This is about me sharing skills, inspiring folks, introducing them to folks that they may not know providing skills or services they didn't know about. KZbin isn't a revenue source for me. It isn't intended to be. It is a way for me to connect with other folks around the world interested in the same things I am and sharing my journey with them. I learn a lot from the folks that comment about how they do things differently. I take your comments seriously, and I appreciate the advice. I won't stop making the vids I make. I know not every video is going to be interesting to every subscriber. I don't even release every video I make because I am not happy with the quality, so I shuffle it to the back and will revisit it when I get the time to correct the issues in those vids. Take care Jim and thank you again for your cogent, straightforward advice. It is always appreciated!

I haven't come any where near quitting, nor will I. Just spent the entire summer traveling and learning a lot from different people and schools and gatherings.
