I'm SO impressed with how they've innovated atop of CMD + F, but I gotta say, going through Google and hovering over links, getting the summary and the icons they use to display information is beautiful. So impressed with the thought and refinement that went into this launch 🤯

It's nice to see someone cover this. I think the way ARC implemented AI in the browser was clever. I have been using all the AI options. As a Browser nerd, I have been using ARC since June (Beta) and have never looked back. I love the growth since summer.

What I don't get is how 5 second previews are still not available on windows, I love Arc on my iPhone but the windows version is generally missing out on a few key features

Yes, there’s definitely things that aren’t the same as Mac, but hopefully they’ll close that gap soon.

I started using it on Windows, but it still hasn't got all the features you showed 9 months ago in this video. For instance, I can't change the color of the page as you did at the beginning of the video, and I don't have the preview. Or am I doing something wrong?

Good question. I believe most of the AI features just arrived to Windows. Not sure about the Boost feature (page personalization). Can you right click a link in the sidebar and select Customize page?

I've been using it for a month. Arc offers a browsing experience with separate compartments for "work" and "entertainment," which really helps me stay focused and avoid distractions. I love it! However, I haven't tried the AI feature because I read (from settings, AI features, and learn more link) that Arc can access and use personal data, including user passwords to help users. What? I might have misunderstood, but this makes me hesitant to use its AI feature. Any thoughts?

Oh interesting. I believe they have access to that when you use the browser. I believe the Arc Max privacy information is found here on the page: arc.net/privacy#what-personal-data-do-we-collect-and-how-do-we-collect-it:~:text=Data%20Policy.-,Arc%20Max,-If%20any%20or I would be curious to know if this is just information needed to operate the browser. I wonder if Chrome has a similar Privacy Policy. I would have to look into it further to know for sure.

​@@thebeautifulmessshow I am a new user, just starting to use the browser. I just checked on the Windows 10 version. The search error is still happening. In addition, it is impossible to select any text in the search box to copy it. Therefore, the AI search box becomes completely useless.

@@thebeautifulmessshow It has been a fantastic experience so far. Well at least till yesterday when I was told they are killing the NOTES feature. This is one feature I love the most. The simplest note taking app I found so far and I didnt even get to use it for a week. It would make sense for Apple to buy it as the Safari team wasted so many years just getting paid and not doing their job. I really wonder why they killed the Notes feature. I have no idea. Anyways if APPLE buy ARC and replace it with Safari (keeping the name Arc) I am sure many Windows users will switch to Mac. As users lets hope something good will happen.

Correct. The browser is only available in beta on Windows. Hopefully they will do a full release soon. I've been testing it on Windows and it's not bad. It just doesn't have all the features that the mac version does.
