If a ship builder is worrying about wind or conditions like that which would affect a weld, they have other problems. Robots can do much more than run from a program, they can monitor amp draw, flow and any welding variable all much faster and more accurately than a human.

Windy & conditions are a thing for mmm if welding let’s see these robots do this outside in the conditions I’ll bet ya it won’t be this easy.

Though Japan dont hold the biggest shipbuilder anymore (due to price competitiveness, expensive but high quality workmanship), but they are more more advance in term of shipbuilding technology and most of the high tech equipment's use for ship building in Korea and China are made in Japan.equipment

at least, in whenzau (south china) and Koshioung (south Taiwan) All the big shipayard of asia use those robots (are usually used)
