Why is this Arca Swiss not well-known in Europe? A very good presentation. Arca Swiss seems willing to construct any adapter for all cameras and optic mounts. This Arca looks better than the Cambo Actus. Cambo is not willing to do the same, concerning all the types of mounts. The know how of the firm which showed the Cambo Actus in Rotterdam at 10th of november 2017 was very insufficient. The young shop assistant did not quite understand how to manage the Actus. He acted like an amateur; an insult for the professional photographers.

Arca Swiss is well-known among photographers. It is not popular just because they charge so much money for quite simple stuff that it is way cheaper to buy stuff from other manufacturers. I wish they lower their prices at least 4 times down to see huge raise in sales. But they will not.

Do these equipment manufacturers treat photographers like fat sheep? The income of photographers is pitiful, but these manufacturers treat photographers as fat sheep? This unbalanced business model disgusts professional photographers Your product is good but your price is unattainable. It is very unreasonable. I think this company will eventually be eliminated by the market

Im trying to wrap my head around this system. I understand the simple concept of adapting DSLR or MF to a system that allows for Older lenses and LF movements. But how is this better than just a Tilt Shift lens, which would be far less cumbersome and even less expensive.

In theory the benefit of this system is tilt and swing on the sensor plane, which results in perspective correction (not just converging line correction of shift), whereas tilt and swing of the lens plane only changes the plane of focus angle. This demo doesn't seem to demonstrate the benefits extremely well.

@@PhilTaylorPhotog This system only has rise and shift movement on the sensor plane. Swings and tilts with a regular type of camera are problematic due to the recessed nature of the sensor as opposed to a digital back which presents the sensor on its face.

@@bentonpix Hmm missed opportunity there - all the new mirrorless cameras are going to have less recess, and I agree any recess limits the tilt/swing, but doesn't altogether render it impossible. There are a lot of scientific cameras which could make use of it, but that's very niche.
