Looks great! You should consider a multicade. That is a great catch all for those cabinets that you know aren't ever coming.

Not a fan of the multicades even though most of the arcade 1up I do own have more than 1 game. To me it’s about the ambience of an arcade room and a multicade although the much cheaper route just doesn’t create that arcade atmosphere for me. I like having the multiple lights, sounds and artwork throughout my game room. There is only a half dozen arcade games I would consider must haves that I currently don’t own. Plus I have a home console to get my multi gaming on. Thanks for checking out the channel

HAHA Yea man I hear that. I redid my basement during the shutdown. I too started with MKII legacy and it truly has become an addiction. Always thinking of more ways to add them (tastefully with out them becoming a mess)

@@nickgerula spacing, lighting, mood and an equal balance of table and arcade games is what I was going for. A little bit of everything each wall or corner representing it’s own thing, sports, comic, music, movies etc. a pool table and bathroom is the only thing that prevents me from an A+ in my eyes.

Wrestlefest may be coming! You better be getting time crisis my guy! Awesome room, have you tried putting all the arcades in a certain section? Separation the movie room from the arcade that would look really cool with the rows of arcades!

Thanks for checking out the channel. This video was taken before those wrestlefest rumors came out, excited to at add at least that one from my wishlist. I like separating my arcades to add equal lighting throughout my basement when they are turned on. I have low ceilings so I cant really add any good non lightbulb lighting up high on my drop ceiling to create a good vibe plus in my opinion by separating them it creates an illusion of having a much larger gameroom with more games than what’s shown.

@@TheCornerCade other than Dragons Lair, no. Waiting on CES 2023 before making anymore purchases. Eventually going to move my super hero collection to the Barbie wall, store the Barbie’s and build an 80s theme corner where my super heroes are at now and of course what else add another 3 or 4 more cabs. That will officially put me out of space so have to be picky which is why I am waiting. If nothing comes out worthwhile I may double back and get try to find some that are already out assuming I can find good deals on marketplace or a retail store. Ridge Racer, Golden Axe, or Asteroids to name a few

It's cool but if you have a bar and a lounge, why not spring for the better cabs? You don't have to get a full size, 250lb cab, Recroom Masters makes 3/4 scale without risers and custom art. I had them make me a Streets of Rage Legacy cab. Look i'm not trying to be a negative Nancy, but that space is nice! I'm in a rinky dink apartment with an ALP and a Multicade, it's a tight fit. But dang, i really hate the look of those things lol.

Appreciate you checking out the channel. Criticism is how we all get better, nothing of what you said is negative. Arcade 1ups and their looks aren’t for everyone. I worked at an arcade back in the day and the sounds of multiple machines lit, and several monitors running with sounds and noises all around is an atmosphere I believe you can’t recreate with multicades. Plus having the space to be able to walk around like a real arcade to find the game you like gets you that experience, you can step up, play, lose and move on to the next cabinet. I love the artwork each arcade 1up provides, sure the quality is trash I can agree with you there, but unlike a real arcade I don’t have 100’s of people daily beating these things down just family and friends twice a month enjoying a drink or two socializing and being engaged In that atmosphere is what really matters. I’m not knocking multicades, some people prefer that for space and financial reasons I’m cool with that. In the end it’s about what makes you happy, some people will have less, some people will have more, as long as all people are gaming that’s what makes the community strong.

I agree if I had the room I would definitely add, it was either the shuffleboard and more arcade games or the pool table and with young kids I didn’t want to spend that kind of money to watch them destroy the felt or watch one of those balls go flying into the arcades. So I opted for a much simpler and less dangerous route. Thanks for checking out the channel

Thanks brother. It’s always a work in progress. Currently removed the Barbie’s out of there swapped my super hero collection on that side and I am building an 80s themed corner where the heroes are in this video. Bought a few more arcade 1up since and plan on adding a few more soon. Should have another updated tour in about 2 months time. I will definitely check out yours as well. Who knows I may have already seen it already. I’m always checking out everyone gameroom when I have free time just to pick people’s brain and setup. 👍

Probably not but at the same time I worked at an arcade and at David Busters and a real arcade machine is also not worth 5 times the amount of one of those “toy” arcade machines because they are faulty and break down just as much. In the end they are all games some prefer a small car others prefer a pickup or an SUV. End result is the same it gets you to where you want to go. It all comes down to space and expense for most of us. Neither side are right nor wrong. I have young ones so it serves its purpose and also brings that nostalgia back for me.
