Imagine how hard that poor security guy's job would be if the mall wasn't dying... He'd spend his entire shift every day yelling at teenagers to stop recording on their phones. He's lucky that now there's only you three there.
@Jeroen_a2 жыл бұрын
Hey, for the one time the guy could take pride in his work and show off to his friends..... do not take it from him.... it will be a lonngggg while before he can do that again.

You are right, malls are public and it is perfectly fine to record. The security guard was just power hungry.

They are in the eyes of the law are private, but public are allowed to access.. so they ask you to leave at anytime.

Probably doesn't want it getting out that the mall is now dead.

My wife did a Google review during the summer and the mall owner responded to her. They didn't appreciate her calling it out for what it is now and they are trying to get business to come back. I remember it was a nice mall before carousel then destiny took out shopping town and great northern.

I find the best solution for hiccuping is drinking water

When I was in radio, I always kept little packets of sugar on hand to fight the hiccups. One teaspoon of sugar never failed to cure them.

Malls can be considered private property. However, I see no signs of actual notice, constructive notice, or inquiry notice that would imply a person was unable to record. So up until the point of being informed, all was good. However, after being asked to stop, it is a good idea to stop. While video games (and possibly arcade games) are considered free speech under the first and fourteenth amendment, the free speech doctrine applies to public actors. So the private business can require person to stop filming. In regards to protected classes, there is nothing I see that implies discrimination against a protected class. Being an arcader is not a protected class. So the mall can enforce a lack of filming. However, it seems like a bad idea, as it simultaneously gives bad publicity and takes away good advertising.
@Spinolio2 жыл бұрын
IANAL but it also brings up my previously mentioned comment about 'is this being enforced against people using FaceTime, shooting selfie videos, etc, or just people with obvious gimbal cams?' I've been to places that say "no cameras with separate lenses" to keep professional photographers from shooting but still allow 'regular' venue attendees to take cell phone photos/video, but with the quality of mobile phone optics getting so good, that probably isn't a real barrier to pro photography any more.

@@Spinolio yeah, just because they can doesn’t mean they should. I like the idea of no separate lenses. That’s smart!

You can never hiccup when someone tells you to. LOL One of my teachers in elementary school, every time someone would have the hiccups and ask go get a drink of water, she would say, "Hiccup right now. If you can hiccup right now, I will let you go get a drink of water." And then she wouldn't just sit there and wait. She say now "Now! I mean like right now. Right now." I used to think she was so mean for doing that but now I realize why she did. It is a very good way to get someone to stop hiccuping.

To stop hiccups, hold your arms straight up above your head. It resets your diaphragm and stops the hiccups. 🙂

A teaspoon of lime juice allegedly cures hiccups. As we know all people have lime juice on their person when doing nefarious filming activities at shopping malls this was the obvious solution. Hope the home renovations are coming along well. Enjoyed the video guys. Winter is coming!!

Why is it when someone is just doing their job, they are on a power trip or a Karen? I was a mall security officer once when I was younger. Malls are considered private property open to the public. There are policies to follow. The guy was just doing his job. Yeah it sucks but those are the rules.
@heathern67372 жыл бұрын
What's always worked for me when I get hiccups is hold my breath to the count of 10, don't exhale, inhale and hold to 5, inhale one more time and let it out. It's supposed to stretch your diaphragm.

For when you are home-Best hiccup stopper,,, a spoonful of vinegar., It should stop the hiccups. Next time, try just sniffing the vinegar. if it does not work, take a spoonful. Next time, sniff... Eventually, you will only need to sniff, Then, try just thinking about sniffing the vinegar, if that doesn't work, sniff... Next time you are vlogging, and you get the hiccups, think about sniffing vinegar. Good luck!

Ben answer truthfully, how much has Aune had to drink? :P (joking lol) Is a mall considered a public space? Semi-public spaces The halls and streets (including skyways) in a shopping center may be declared a public place and may be open when the shops are closed. so yeah tell the one that told you to turn the camera off to ...............suck it.
