Two notable things on this one: Video System deciding to create and release this as their 1993 arcade game, rather than F-1 Grand Prix Part 3, which appeared on the SNES instead. Maybe they thought F1 GP P3 was one overly similar game too many for arcades in such a short space of time. Secondly, the girls seem to be able to run a lot faster than Usain Bolt in his prime when they flee the road after starting the races, and the police don't seem to care even if they are rammed off the road! That said, this is a pretty fun game and the all-out madness vibe suits it.

oh yeah enjoying to play sports cars everyone know ! honta snx, masda efin, shevy cortette, dadge vipre, pherari, lanborjini daiblo, borsche, mursedes banz i know they used to do this in plety games at the time because of trademark rights but at this point, it is just pointless. And such a game doesn't need popular trademark cars anyway, it still remains a crap game with or without these cars. Imaginary cars would work fine.

DANfan69 5 years late replying, but hey ho. The MLK quotes have found themselves on several commercial sample packs over the years, and it’s likely the game’s composer (Soshi Hosoi) used one of them when working on Lethal Crash Race. As for why he picked those samples in particular, I can only assume it’s because he thought they sounded cool, and had zero frame of reference for their actual context.
