@@Rocket1377 Tekken 2 to me was the start of it all and had more effort put into it with 3D designs while the ones from Tekken 1 look like a polygon mess, ugly faces and generic endings that look like test animations. It’s basically the original as Tekken 1 is the beta version.

Imo the best way to try it is to get Tekken 5 for PS2 (has Tekken 1-3 arcade versions on it). I wanted to play it for a while and just recently tried. Had to play just like the guy on this video, constantly backpedaling and spamming throws

Yeah, in Tekken 1 air combos did counter damage instead of reduced damage, and the normal damage was already huge in the first games, so counter hits were specially devastating lol
