Congrats on the pickups! If it were me, I would just keep it as a Simpsons cab, clean it up a bit, and have it be switchable to TMNT. That blue and the OG artwork looks so good. My OCD would go nuts trying to skin it for both cabs. I don't know much about restoring cabs, so it might be much easier than I think.

Right on! Man that Simpsons cab looks great. I vote on leaving that side art alone. Finding one with the OG 3 piece art in good shape is getting tougher these days. That stuff is so delicate!

@@RetroRalph I’m in the mindset that not everything on these machines needs to be perfect. The dents and scratches tell a story of the past. I mean these things were soldiers out in the wild! I say just leave it be. I will admit I tried just a damp paper towel on mine when I got it and even that was damaging. I’ve let it be since and just enjoyed the nostalgia of actually having it. Sorry that was long and dramatic LOL.

Hey Ralph, just thought I would tell you that I showed a friend of mine your video of the Galloping Ghost tour you made not long ago. That made him want to take a trip there from Dallas/Ft. Worth area. We just got back from Chicago over the weekend and checked the place out... actually got lost from each other a few times, it's like a maze in there lol. I got to check out a bunch of rare cabinets and we beat Beavis & Butthead. Pretty interesting place to visit.

Nothing can replace that soft glow of a CRT, NARC looks great now! I have an old Sony FW-900 CRT monitor that I have been toying with the idea of putting in a modern but retro styled arcade cabinet, to run classic emulators and some modern games too.. but the caveat is that I can’t find a company that makes new cabinets to fit big, heavy, and deep CRTS, only LCDs and mostly 16:9 LCDs. I’m stuck, what a travesty!

@@RetroRalph Thanks, I have to mention, for your Simpsons cabinet, I think it would be rad if you did it “two-face” style, the left half is Simpsons, the right half is Ninja Turtles, with the split going exactly down the center, with 2 Simpsons controls on the left and 2 Turtles turtles controls on the right. Each half being 100% faithful to the original designs.

I wish I had the space for full size classic arcade machines. I started looking into building a custom cabinet. Something reduced in size. A brand new project, so nothing off the ground yet. That N.A.R.C. machine is gorgeous!

The duel switch sounds cool. You should try to make a marquee or get someone to make one where both Simpsons and TMNT logos are used and have one side of the cabinet show TMNT's side art and the other side show Simpsons' side art. I will recommend looking at a Galloping Ghost Arcade tour since some machines there are duel switch machines and they combine marquee designs to indicate it.

I remember someone doing a konami classics cab it was a og konami cab with the simpsons ,tmnt and cowboys of moo messa artwork. Maybe something that would look cool would be a split artwork cab similar to the class of 81. Simpsons in one side and turtles on the other with split artwork on the front and control panel.

Yep, those CRT's are getting harder and harder to come by today. Its not always easy to find someone with the skills to repair them either. They're so bulky and heavy too, not the easiest thing to transport. That's cool you were able to do a few quick fixes and get the Simpson's cab up and running again. Given the cab has a 4 player layout, definitely a good choice to duel-boot with TMNT as well.

Didn’t Joe Szabo have a combo X-Men and Simpson’s art for the Konami cab on his website? I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure that’s where I saw it. He may have even shown it in a video at one time. That would definitely be an awesome cabinet to have. Saves a lot of space as well. EDIT: Just checked his site and the art he has is actually for an X-Men, The Simpsons and TMNT cabinet. Even better to honest.

Dude, pick that up ASAP at that price!!! It’s worth about $900-$1500 IMO but they sell for a lot more than that typically. If it’s fully working , then $900 is a great price IMO.

definitely some 90s era classics here! I mostly remember NARC on NES, admittedly doesn't hold much of a candle to the arcade original but for the time a pretty close approximation of the arcade original. last time I tried to finish the arcade original was one of the midway arcade treasures on PS2, got as far as Mr. Big but every continue set you back so there was no way I was ever finishing it! simpsons was a fun one, actually a few months ago I teamed up with the wife for some co-op shenanigans it was a fun time! would definitely be cool to see it modded as a multi with something like TMNT, that would be sick to have. also WHAT?! a cat bed?! okay then.
