Loved the video. You guys have the best repair videos out. However, I must say the dead or alive video in the back ground at the beginning made this video even more awesome!!!

Great video guys! Just a quick question, what about Phosphour degredation, how does one know when the phosphours have browned to the point of the analyzer/restorer not being applicable? I know from CRT projectors, the Green usually ages the quickest. What are the contingincies for this? are there any CRT manufacturers that remain?

Ive got an old CRT TV from the 80s which the colour seems to bleed out with the red, im expecting i need to do this on my set. My worry is that some day it will be impossible to keep these CRT's still going, will it be possible to regun old tubes again?

thanks look forward to it. It would be nice if the brightness in this monitor could be fixed up. Its HUGE size is great for retro PC gaming! and it has RGB connectors and VGA connectors on it.

Suggestion, add the keyword 'B&K 470' to the description. I was searching for a video on that model rejouv but this one didn't show up (stumbled upon it from a CRT playlist)

I agree. When your colors start to darken up on your tube that is usually cathode poisoning. If your monitor R, G, B, tests good then that means there is nothing bad to burn off. So what are you burning off? The good stuff! Not to mention the older tube testers are more harsh rather than if you had a Sencore CR-70 or even better a CR-7000. With the CR-7000 it may take a couple more zaps to get good results but it's also better so you don't burn up your tube accidentally!

Did you have any success on a Sanwa 29e31s? Lot of People wrote rejuvenation frys their Tube.
@arcaderepairtips
@arcaderepairtips 3 жыл бұрын
Yes, you need to be careful when using a tube rejuvenator with the Sanwa 29e31s as their factory tubes are notorious for poor quality guns. Because of this, they can be damaged easily during the rejuvenation process. If you would like more details about your question, please tune into our Live Show Episode 57 on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 5:30 PM CT. Here's a link to the episode if you want to watch it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iae3n4Cagcd0fpY. Thank you for your question and good luck with your future repairs.

can a rejuvenator make a computer CRT to be brighter overall? I recently got a 2003 samsung 1100DF that is in like new condition, but it just seems dimmer than I would like it. The colors seems fine, just not as bright as I would think it should be. I also adjusted various settings, but didnt really help much

question : could a tube with a short be working? what it display?
@nigelsears7191
@nigelsears7191 2 жыл бұрын
dust on a electron gun its sealed and in a vacuum so how does that work ? the tube goes soft cause of use and age the emitting surface deteriorates and hardens , rejuvenation is a temporary fix lasting very limited time you should make this clear it is repeatable but each time you do it you risk burning the surface compleatly away and the effect second time round will last less time

Beware! There are many things wrong here with the adjustments. Heater voltage, G1, G2, ... Please look at the "arcade buffett" video instead. I learned from different sources and he's off on a few things here. Good if he didnt blow anything and it worked for him. But it's not done the best way for sure. Don't get me wrong, I usually really like their videos. But this one is off by too much.

B. Ouellet 👋 Hi! He made the first mistake, heater voltage should set to 6.3vac.Like the book stated. Higher setting will shorten the life of the tube. I’m a tv technician. Fun to watch.

SinistaN Hi! I currently use a secure CR 70. Filament volt is important. Well a higher setting will weaken it life, cathode will deform the mechanical structure

I bought a mechanized attack arcade game. Working when bought it. Got it home and had to bully it in basement. It still worked for two days, but screen would flicker every so often. Display disappeared, and hasn't come back. Nothing looks broke and you can hear monitor start up with no display. all other controls work including sound and gun control. Can anyone help me-what it might be?

It's ironic you would post this video as I' at the point of moving to a tube rejuvenator. I've done a cap kit, a new flyback, and have not seen that much of an improvement. This looks like the next step to getting my monitor working. Or if one of you wants to fly out here and fix it for me. ^_^ Thanks fort the helpful advice and hopefully I can use this information!

in my experience the tube rejuvenator is not a good idea when the color XY tubes started going bad in the late 80's we would carefully shoot the tubes and then after a week or so they would fail :'(
