Here we have a family run business trying to make a living and bringing something a bit different to the area. I think they need support and encouragement as all it does it put people off doing anything like this. I would rather walk into a place like this than an AGC full of £500 Jackpots. I remember years back I use to play in Stapleford, Ilkeston and then further north in Hucknall (As well as the centre of Nottingham too). I have fond memories of these areas! Nottingham is booming with students so and of course a lot of the older generation too, so if it’s done right, I don’t see why you won’t get good business. My recommendation would be to get rid of some of the smaller kids games and just pack it out with classic games. Utilise the space correctly and things will do their course. If you would like, I would donate a machine to your arcade as a small gesture and will happily visit when I travel those ways. The game I have is a £5 Red Gaming called Show Me The Mummy. It’s all yours if you would like as long as you can get it your arcade from Portsmouth way! Good luck with everything!

thankyou reelistic slots for doing a video of us, reading some of these comments we are trying we are not looking to compare ourselves to any other arcade, all machines cost money and when we see them aval and afford to buy them in we will, everything takes time and we do have a lot happy customers that visit us all already, we are the only arcade of this type in the e.mids, everything costs money to get this where it needs to go, we will get there its just time.

It is only early days. The arcade is moving in the right direction. Hopefully with a bit of support and a lot of effort this arcade could in time become a valuable and viable asset in the UK classic fruit machine community. why not on 90% minimum payout, theres always an admiral or casino you can go to lol which are mostly on 70%

During the time I was there I did ok. The PartyTime was the only one to me that felt like its wasnt happening. But I wondered if it would be like being on Reset as the %'s had just been upped, so I was a little over cautious and didnt get too involved. We then went on in the premiere to hear a local playing it and going up time and time again. I guess the only way to tell is see what happens in the future. I have told Terry I will pop back the next time I am up so we will see whats what from there. Cheers for watching and Happy New Year CAsh

Really please to see a place like this giving it a go, I’m only 15 miles away so will definitely be giving it a visit at some point. I just missed out on Eastwood shop as by the time I realised it was there it had shut. Anyway good luck for the future and I look forward to visiting soon.

Fair play 90% on £5 jackpots is mental. Even mr ps lower stakes are “only” 84% going by a old hypa video when a machine error and showed 84% when resetting which is still extremely extremely good and unheard of back in the day. Nothing but 70% near me growing up ughh. Compared to your average arcade today full of deal or no deals it’s decent. Ok my golden era would be the 90s but you can’t go wrong with that offering to kill a few hours and get a bit of gameplay in return, while maybe not yet considered proper classics they are on the rarer side these days. I much rather play early 00s than deal or no deals. If it weren’t so far away I would pay a visit and will do if ever in the area. Best of luck to them

Mr P's generally have their 10p slots between 86 and 90%. PartyTime arena for example is on 90%. The highest % in there and that I have ever seen is on Mummy Money £500 Jackpot. Thats on 96% I have not seen anything that can touch that. Not these days anyway

Afternoon Paul Millen I suppose the way I would look at it is when Mr P opened his first arcade in Gravesend what do you think it was like? I never had the priviledge to go there myself, but I would have loved to have been there on that first day to see. Where Mr P's is now has taken them 10+ years. Who knows where this arcade could be in 12 years. It just need the time and a determined owner and you just never know. @@jonesretroamusements I will admit I made my comment in haste so apologies my friend but I do think before using the retro name you need to have retro fruits but I made my comment before reading cashmans part at the end on your future plans and of course like most idiots I operate mouth before engaging brain🤦‍♂️ So firstly I wish you every success in your venture I'm all for the retro era and it succeeding also there was a personal retro memory ill thank you for Candyman! That sat outside and inside over time in an arcade up in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 I went to as a teenager so every few mins the blaring out of Candyman ooo the Candyman! Thanks for that memory 😁

Good to see the owner in the comments but they should really just be thanking people for their feedback or nothing at all, instead of trying to defend themselves. The reality is the arcade is very small, looks a little run down and has very few games people would be prepared to travel any distance to play, especially on £5 jp. Everyone knows it’s a work in progress and the place will hopefully improve in time. Just say thank you to your potential future customers.

And as we said in our comments all things take time being only 3/4 months in, the place will improve in time, all things cost money, whos defending themselves? we are replying to the comments that have been written, in a positive way and explaining what we are doing, its all very well writing a comment on here without even visiting our place, we have customers that travel over an hour way to us and see what we are all about and what we are doing and see them regular like any arcade its either your cup of tea or its not, happy new year.

I can see what they're trying to do and I just hope it isn't too little too late. They had a fair chance with Kerching Amusements but sadly I reckon they blew it somewhat after uploading an arcade tour with everything put on 72%....This was in the Mr P's Gravesend days. Good to see the percentages decent now and can see they are trying, but it looks very seasonal here, or relying heavily on locals. The outside attractions that they advertised have very little chance of being used or offered in winter. It would be worth just saving the electricity a bit, closing briefly in the off-season, and giving it a good lick of paint.

Most arcades are quiet in the winter, to be fair we are pretty good, with our other arcades you could get the machines in without paying covid tax prices the good machines now people are wanting sill money for them, no need for us to close with only being 3/4 months in of opening we do really well, and see new faces every week, as i did state in the comments the outside of the place has changed and also the inside and the window displays, not easy setting one of these up but we will get there and are trying, people say they dont see arcades like this in towns anymore, well here we are trying

Hi YeoGlover The line up of slots needs some work I will grant you, but the owner is keen. So as and when hes in a position to ramp up the range im sure they will :-) I have said I will return when im next up, so we shall see what if anything has changed. 100% Taker2012. Its a new arcade on the block. With a little bit of TLC and an injection of slots (which will come) it could be one worth travelling for.
