This is a preview of what’s coming, they are gonna remake all the existing cabinets that have a riser to match their deluxe-Xl cabinets. I personally approve of this. Sell all my riser cabs and replace with riser-less cabinets.

I know this might not be a very popular opinion but I absolutely love that they are going back and redoing the old cabinets from when they didn’t know what they were doing. I also appreciate them realizing that 799 usd was WAY to much money for what you were getting

I don't mind them releasing different versions of cabinets with different graphics and shapes. It does annoy me how flaws that it seemed like they'd fixed will reappear. Sometimes the marquee will not be bright enough. Then they'll release a few with the poor quality monitors again. The joysticks have improved somewhat, but they still don' use even the better quality off brand sanwa style sticks and happ style buttons.

I have 4 arcade1up cabinets now and really only have room for 2 more. I see and understand why arcade 1up are going the direction they are. I mean the market is a pretty niche one to begin with. Nostalgia hit hard the past few years and is slowly dying down

They got burned on Blitz... tons of money, tons of production costs, tons of problems. And units sat at retailers. Now they're playing it safe. Anyway, this SFII cab is too little, too late... woulda been nice years ago. Now we've got the same games list, a control panel that doesn't match, a skinny form factor, and a shrinking market for re-buying the same stuff. Time for an XL or Alpha/3rd Strike... or just some all NEW games, period. Easy pass.

I feel even the biggest fans are waiting for either new rehashed cabs to hit sub-$300, or to buy older versions for less than $200 on the secondary market. Only the likely one-offs seem to sell close to retail, and that's for the longest anticipated cabs.

NGL PDubs, I've seen 2 BB with sanwa upgrades sell for less than $300 near me last month. Hopefully they can get back on track with new cabs in 2024. At least the new stuff is looking better, and hopefully QC is going to be as balanced as it's been in 2023, main exception being F&F. We haven't had the plethora of "gates" as last year.

Last I heard Taito wasn't going to license their games to anyone anymore as they have plans to do their own re-releases on console and stuff, like Atari Recharged but with Taito games

Not a game I have any interest in, but great video as always. I do hope they get rid of the slider on/off switches and go back to a "click" switch. I bought my Golden Tee 3D 19" in early June and just last week, the slider stopped working. I have to say though, that from the time I submitted a warranty request to when I received the replacement part, only four days had elapsed which I thought was a stellar, customer service response by a company everyone loves to hate on.

Great vid, as usual. Since these guys have been in business, I have not purchased a single thing, save a few stools. Like many folks, Ive been waiting for improvement, proper controls and a 19" monitor: Oy! This new item looks pretty cool. BUT, will it be a purchase, probably not. As per their history, WHEN there is a sale, maybe Ill take a look, get one and mod it out. Stay tuned for the famous $199.99 to $299.99 sale, or cheaper. I think at $200.00 this would be a fun project to mod.

One point all the coverage of this cabinet seems to be missing is that arcade1up is shipping a $499 new cabinet for free. If they can make that work, they can make cabinets in lower quantities and sell and ship themselves and not have to rely on selling to big box stores. This opens the door to more cabinets that the big boxes won’t want to buy but they’ll be able to sell and ship themselves which I think is a BIG win for the community.

They should all be full-size XLs at this point. They've proved they can do it. That's what everyone wants, surely. If they keep re-releasing things, and have one XL out now, then presumably they're going to do an XL of this in the future, so why spend money on this compromised version now instead of waiting? (Unless you're in Europe, like me, where almost none of their stuff even gets released, and what does costs way more than it should, in which case I just don't buy a single one of their products.)

Probably the best SFII cabinet so far, but just a shame that they didn't swap out some of the games. I always loved Commando and 1944, which were on some of the original cabs, so at the very least, I would have liked to have seen them included too. Yoga Flame is so cheap now, so as much as this looks better aesthetically, I just can't see why anyone would pay more for this deluxe cab over YF.

Look, it's been made clear that this year was going to be a down year for releases. I'd rather them wait for a new chipset for games likes SF 3rd strike and the Alpha series etc. Of course some could argue that the current hardware can run those games but I don't trust it. Still pedaling Battle Circuit and Captain Commando in a 2 payer cabinet. This should be linkable like Fast and Furious so those two games could be played with the correct number of players. But whatever. They did the same thing with Big Blue. Remember King of Dragons and Knights of the Round? If they do not want to release any more 4 player units for these games, fine. But make linkable cabinets for those of us who want them. As is, not buying this. I still have my first Capcom legacy with 1944 on it. I still have the first Mortal Combat legacy. These rehashes do not impress me. I am done until they either start linking cabinets, bring us new games, or give us XL's.

Even if this cab is anything remotely close to accurate (I honestly have no idea in this case) it's still hideous. And I agree, we'll probably see an MK XL by 2024, and it'll not have MK4, it won't have a 19" screen, it won't have spectate, and it probably will have either Johnny-less MK1 graphics again or the same bs colorized Raiden crap again. No accurate MK1, no UKMK3 even. Then, in 2025, an MK Pro will drop and it'll be another bingo game of "what's missing."

The EVO crowd was probably laughing because why would they pay for that when they can play it better and with a better competitive experience online via fightcade. The zoomer crowd only wants to play their fighting games(modern and retro) on a pc. Arcade1up has no clue on their target market. It is good for any one who missed out on original releases.

They keep putting garbage controls in the machine So i'm gonna have to go spend close to $100 on new joy sticks and happ buttons From suzo happ. And then i'm gonna have to pay somebody probably $75 just to soldier the wiring. I wish arcade went up can learn from their mistakes. But they keep making the same fucking stupid mistand then We have to go out and spend extra money to fix what they screwed up.

I think The Shinkuu Hadouken version is the best looking SF cab. This one is more geared towards the SF2 purists like myself. Not gonna buy it.

Not at all, specifically said in the video this Arcade is for 1st time buyers, or people who haven't upgraded their Gen 1 or 2 Street Fighter, etc and that Arcade1up is just playing it safe and putting out what they know will sell versus taking a risk on something new.

@@PDubsArcadeLoft My B, not specific to you but the community in general. Just feel like people in general don’t really get who A1UP’s actual customers are and how this company makes money. I know for the most part you guys(KZbinrs) have stated it over and over, but I’m not sure people listen for how all these comments go across all the community channels. 2023 is the year of them getting deluxe rereleases out to the market. Seems like the deluxe model is successful for them and everyone should probably hope it is if they want Robotron, Qbert, Afterburner, etc…

I honestly don’t understand how or why y’all continue to spend your hard earned cash on the same rereleases. A “cool looking” cabinet does not constitute spending $500.00. The fact that people continue to spend money on rereleases from this company contributes to the reasoning as to why Arcade1up doesn’t even attempt, try or find it necessary to bring out new cabs with new games. How many times are y’all going to buy Pac-Man and Street Fighter?
