Hello. Nice video. Any idea as to what might cause these boards to go out? Do you think heat is of any real concern? I can't imagine them getting that hot, but then again, I never touched the chip set while its powered on.

Received the replacement PCB which fixes the sound issues for the Warrior and Valkyrie, but now "breaks" the sound for the Elf and the Wizard. On the original PCB, insert coin, treasure, food and exit sounds were "broken" for the Warrior and the Valkyrie, but worked fine for the Elf and the Wizard. The "fixed" PCB might go past level 16 or 31, but now the sounds for the Elf and the Wizard are broken, while the sounds for the Warrior and the Valkyrie are fixed. Please have someone revisit this "fix", validate the new problems and fix the game for all issues once and for all. Thank you.

Nice video by the way, not sure why it got a thumbs down. Also, this can be accomplished without removing the monitor at all, simply by laying the cabinet face down after removing the back panel (preferably using a towel to protect the front of the cabinet, unless you have carpet). My PCB needed a little "tap" on the back to get it loose from the housing, and also there was a clear sheet of plastic behind the PCB I don't think you pictured, my guess to protect it from coming in contact with the metal housing.

@Chalkdust No, its only 2 - 3 screws for the back panel, just remember to unplug the power adapter from the PCB before you remove the panel entirely.

@Chalkdust I play with my Son, which was why I bought it. Playing 2 player co-op keeps it interesting, but I understand what you mean about it being "repetitive". It does get more challenging as time goes on. Did you replace the PCB, by the way? I'm trying to have someone confirm that while they fixed the level 16 - 31 issue, they broke the sound effects now for the Elf and the Warrior. If you did replace it or plan to, I'd appreciate if you could post what you find. I emailed 1Up with the info and they said they would forward it to the engineers.

I dont think so, but there's an easy soldering fix you can preform on the PCB that adds the left and right to the one speaker

Does the arcade 1up monitor plug into any arcade1up pcb board. Was going to replace my pacman with a galaga board and control deck. Or do i need a monitor that is specific with that game board....

Can you do this to put a different game PCB while also switching out the control deck with the corresponding PCB? For example you have a Pac Man PCB + Control Deck, can you take them out and replace them with a TMNT PCB + Control Deck to now be playing TMNT on a Pac Mac Cabinet?

you need to use the appropriate control boards and monitors you cant just swap things around - the pinout is different between revisions in theory you could swap pcb but If you watched the video you would see all the fragile parts that are not meant to be unplugged repeatedly

Hypothetically of course, could I put a MK PCB into a Street Fighter cab and it work ok?

I was wondering the same only the other way around. I have an MK cab but want to swap in the SF PCB. From what I can see both joystick/button encoders use the same 4- and 2-pin inputs and the same 40-pin ribbon cable connector going to the PCB. Hypothetically either PCBs would receive button inputs the same but I'm uncertain if the MK display connector is the same. Haven't checked.

So I recently replaced a pcb in my arcade 1up cabinet using these instructions. The marquee lights up, and there is sound, but the monitor is just a blank white screen. Does anyone know what might be causing this, and how to fix it?

I got galaga/galaxian for christmas and the games wont start.you can select a game but freezes when it says prss player 1 to start

Ask to file a grievance and say their company sucks and you are using their competitors from now on and spending the next 48 hours slamming them in reviews on reddit and youtube, they will respond immediately with any replacements you need.. I just skipped right to doing this as I do with any issues I have with these companies anymore especially with products this pricey it's the only way you can get any respectable service anymore... I even messaged them about a machine way past warranty.. say you couldn't open it until Christmas or something they will help..

I have few machines PacMan, Street Fighter, Galaga, and Rampage. The paint comes off as it was painted with kid's watercolor paint. My Galaga is shorting out after a while causing the whole machine to restart. PacMan left input stopped working, found the issue with Rigth/Left soldering pin on the input PBC to seperate from the board; I can't fixed that. So PacMan is unplayable, unless I only use Down/Up and Right.....lol. Very disappointed in the craftsmanship. If anyone knows a place where to order (PCB: 20180423), let me know.
