I got mine and put it in. Wow ! This is awesome. Just like the real one. I put the LED strip in facing away from the marquee. That way the light doesnt blind you. The marquee is still plenty bright. Just perfect I'd say.

Can you give a little more detail on how to get access to the led strip?

@@validcore This only applies to the Arcade game factory marquee. When you assemble it you put the strip in. It looks better if you face the lights away from the artwork. To get to the strip you need to remove the marquee from the cabinet. once its removed you will see the strip.

Looking into getting this, as it really makes it look more authentic. Has anybody modded the control panel so there's the slanted angle at the front like the original cab? Google the original cab pictures to see what I mean - the edge of the control panel angles down the same degree as the marquee. That's really all it needs now.

Been wanting to do the control panel mod myself. I could definitely make an extension at work that fastens underneath the existing panel but comes out and bends with the triangle shape. Would need appropriate decals though.

@@validcore That sounds cool. The stock control panel is deep, and the extension would make it even deeper, so someone would have to custom make the extra deep panel graphic. The stock CP has so many things on it - on/off, vol, P1&P2 buttons, regular buttons, trackball. I had thought a new control panel that's not as deep, with the angled extension would look more realistic. A regular A1up Tempest graphic would fit on there perfectly. Then maybe a piece of slightly-tinted plexiglass with the bezel graphic would hide the shortness of the new less deep control panel. If I do anything, I'll post it here. We'll see :)

Looks good. I bought this cab about a week ago. All the arcade1up marquees are kind of washed out looking.

Hey you managed to narrowly avoid showing how the marquee is attached to the H panel. 😄 Did you screw it in? What kind of screws?

How did you attach it? Are holes predrilled on the sides?

It uses the same mounting holes that the stock marquee uses.

Now that you’ve had this cab for a few months, is the cab still good? Any issues?

I think I've had 23 Aracde1up cabinets total at this point. I sell and buy all the time. Our current count is 6. I think the lit marquees have gotten progressively worse as time goes on. Tempest is terribly washed out. And Tron was nothing but a bubbled up sticker over clear plastic. I'm about done buying them unless they came out with a Spyhunter, or 720. Anything else meh.

Arcade1up's Marquees suck, period! They look washed out and I have proof because I installed a lit marquee into my space invaders that looks incredible compared to the other machines I have. It's ridiculous how washed out the original marquees look. The only original marquee that looks acceptable is Defender. If Dragon's Lair ever comes out, I hope that marquee looks good.
